Won't bending the tube raise the seat height Wal? Last thing you want to do is raise your CoG.

The picture may be deceptive Pete. The bike is at its correct height in that photo and the seat measures just 25 inches (640mm) off the ground.
The tube is now bent, that is the position it will be in on completion.

My thread got boobies!
I have done a bit of work on her and fitted the forks into the frame, this presented a few problems as the steering head was from a Greeves and the forks from a BSA Bantam and they were never intended to fit together (they didn't!). i turned up sleeves to addapt the BSA bearings and shrink them into the frame. The BSA spindle was packed up using a inverted bearing as a spacer so that the frame would clear the fork yoke, this left the steering spindle 56mm too short so I cut it and made a spacer and welded it in before dressing it down. It all looks rather good giving me 30 degrees of rake. Next weekend I am on the hunt for a rear wheel at the Stafford Show.

Has a bit of a play yesterday and bent up the seat from a bit of tube and mocked up the bars from a piece of 22mm pipe to give me my seating position, I now need to trim down the seat and weld it on.
