Given my VFR a bit of a spruce up over the last few months, Firestorm front end, CBR 929 rear shock and respray to name mainly along with coolant, oil and plug change. Not sure whether to bother with decals.

Some of it has been necessary (original rear shock was functional but rusting like there was no tomorrow) but a bit just for tart factor like the respray and seat cowl.

Looking nice Thumbs Up

Unless they are sponsoring you, I'd leave it a decal free zone.

Only thing IMHO is come sale time no decals screams "That's been thrown down the road and had the front end and panels replaced. What other damage is it hiding"

If the front end hadn't been replaced then maybe it's worth putting the stickers on at sale time (as long as you can replicate a standard bike exactly). Since it has been changed, a bunch of stickers isn't going to stop the questions being asked anyway.

too plain, glad 20 stickers on the fairing closest the clutch basket are gone, but the honda on the tank, v4 crf on the lower fairing and vfr 750f on the back don't look too bad.

Thanks Smile

Hopefully there will be never be a time where I have to sell it, decided after riding it for a year that it just ticks all the boxes for me, I've ridden a fair few other machines and nothing has proven as all round capable as this has, for me its a keeper hence putting some money into it.

Already have a decal set from an earlier American 750 with the Interceptor logos that I was going to put on (I have a thing for the Mad Max Ford Falcon) but I think I prefer it bare.

And I agree the high-level exhaust is on the cards, mainly so I can remove the rear wheel without having to take the can off!

That's what I always think.

far better with a low level pipe to keep the COG low.

Low pipe IMHO better if you want to throw over panniers and go touring. Then arrive at destination, take off panniers and you can still have fun on the local roads (which would be why you went touring there in the first place).

I expect that a high rise exhaust would probably counteract the improvements to the handling gained from what I've done (by Christ does it handle better! Very Happy ) but for the sake of taking the rear wheel out in say a puncture scenario without fannying on with the exhaust I'm tempted Thinking

Or could attempt this one day, fairly pointless and minimal gain (more loss probably) but the finished article looks nice and clean IMO.

I was thinking high side exhaust. The under seat versions looks nice and tidy.
