If it's FI, then it's just a case of getting used to it.

If it's carbed, then it's a case of sorting whatever the problem is, because while not-so-good FI can cause those issues, you shouldn't have them with carbs and it should be fixable if you do.
Another option for Lydden may well be to downgear it, so you have more gear ratios.

True, my Triumph model was well known to have a very choppy throttle so I tweaked the map to make it more usable. Never fully got it as smooth as a carb bike but it felt far safer during throttle transitions after tweaking.

I think it's not "snatchy" but more responsive than being in a low gear on the road, especially for new track riders.

Would it be worth feathering the clutch ever so slightly when powering out of the corner while in 2nd gear?

Or would that just be asking for trouble?

Fair point, on that; make sure your arms are relaxed. Overly tight grip and rigid arms can make this sort of thing much worse.

tried that it feels as ive im going to throw the back end out, it dosen't really do gentle, its 1000 rpm or 5000 rpm no real inbetween


Pull the carbs, give them a clean.
