A joy to behold!
Dunno whether this has been linked to before, don't care if it has, it's more than worth another look!
For those that don't know what this would sound or even smell like, you, simply, don't know what you're missing!

The very best of 2 stroke thuggery!

Needless to say, "I want one"! Mr. Green

Yeah the way the seat and/or subframe finishes isn't quite there. But it's close enough for rock n roll.

Stupid tank decal, but chuck some USD forks in it, and some WP race shocks, then yes. Thumbs Up

Gorgeous bike (in my opinion).

I recon you would be a regular at the petrol station riding that though.

I'd like it more with ace bars or similar but it does look great.

Very nice but would look better IMO with a Dunstall style seat and Tomaselli ace bars.

It's nicely finished. But I'd much rather see something else along the lines of The Kwikasfaki H2 custom. Which, with its Gsxr400 frame and ohlins goodies, grants that splendid engine a chassis it deserves, as well as the work of art exhaust:

S'okay, but a white frame?

I prefer Sid's find, got more of that classic look. Both are what is needed. I will never ride another standard chassis H2 - life's short enough as it is.

I DO think that keeping it on relatively 'period' 18" and fairly skinny, if more modern rubber, T-Shocks and spindly RWU forks is in keeping with the ethos of the engine, and an 'enhancement' to the original machine, maintaining some of the 'imperfection' that made it's reputation.

What made the H1 WAS that it didn't handle! It WAS just ALL about the lairey power.

Power, that by modern standards is (DAS) Learner-Bike modest, in all but the raucous ramp as it comes on the pipe.

Sticking that engine into a more modern chassis, with 17" rims and USD's et al? To me, is going too far, and chucking the baby out with the bath-water. And rather missing the point. If you want power and handling, and must have banzia two-stroke power delivery, RGV250, actually MORE powerful than the H1 and got all the modern goodies you want to bolt round the air-cooled triple, right out the crate; But, £900 would get you a ZX6R, with more of just about everything, and no fouled plugs!

The Kamakaze? As an exercise in aesthetics then, and a tribute to the Hi and what 'might have been'... Hmmm, yeah, I think I quite like.

Kwikasfaki? Sorry, to my eye looks like some-one trying to hard to follow fashion in street-fighters, and stuffing an antique engine into a gaping hole as a gimmik, so that its NOT just yet another GSXR that's merely lost its plastics in a scrap with the asphalt. There is probably a lot of engineering inginuity and imagination gone into the build; but just no 'empathy'

If you look into the work that was done to make that bike it makes it much more impressive.

Converting to reed valve intake with homemade cages for example and all the internal work thats been done to the engine....

I've met the bloke before. He used to go by the name of Cabbie when I used to race Nitro RC cars. Used to tune those little engines to make them fly.

No, you need an RG500 Very Happy

Although fetching silly money now if you find a good one, and might not seem that wild now by today's standards. But it could always be tuned...

Cheaper than an H2!

Don't think either would be for me, though. What appeals to me about strokers is the simplicity; water cooling and exhaust power-valves, possibly even positive lubrication, is a bit too much technology, let alone multi-cylinders.

Give me a 'crisp' back to basics air-cooled single; a Honda MT125 GP bike, or an Atom, or a Kreidler or something, a day-light MOT and have a fit Swedish masseuse to pummel my legs and spine out of the foetal position when I get off!

What appeals to me is the power band Very Happy - and I'll take any excuse for the masseuse Laughing

My Denco H2 ( Rolling Eyes ) would've been a hoot if the thing was even part way controllable. Unfortunately, it really did become a burden on my mind. I knew that if I kept riding it, it'd try to kill me, but I couldn't afford to do what the folks with the examples here could.

As it was, a Stephens stage 3 P/valve was a lot more fun - felt less suicidal than the triple, and I could actually use the thing - well ok, it wobbled a bit in the corners, until I put a Metmachex s/arm on it, but never felt like it'd get out of control. And even I could strip and rebuild that - doesn't have to be a single to be simple to work on.
