Nice... better turn out than the 'show' I went to last week
But while you grumble about the quantity... they certainly made up for it with some quality there, Map!
You dont get many Egli-Vincents to the pound, that's for sure!
(Google Egli; he's still going. Swiss Special builder from the Cafe Era; offers frame kits a bit like Harris, Spondon or Rickman; his trade-mark is a HUGE spine tube, usually doubling as a dry-sump oil-tank, and I'm sure there is a connection with Floyd Clymar's US 'Indian' concern in the 1960's to the Egli-Vincent)
Looks like there were some interesting bikes there, though 'the Russian thing' gives me post traumatic flash-backs to a very uncomfortable evening in 1997! ____________________ My Webby'Tef's-tQ, loads of stuff about my bikes, my Land-Rovers, and the stuff I do with them!
Current Bikes:'Honda VF1000F' ;'CB750F2N' ;'CB125TD ( 6 3 of em!)'; 'Montesa Cota 248'. Learner FAQ's:= 'U want to Ride a Motorbike! Where Do U start?' |

I can tell you a bit about this bike as I know the owner. It cost him 50 (yes, fifty) grand and took about five years to build. In fact, it could have been longer. I forget the exact details. The owner is a friendly older guy and willing to divulge the full story, but...well. You can imagine.
You can't quite get the full effect from that second angle, but that Smiths speedo must be nearly six inches in diameter. ____________________ "Life is a sexually transmitted disease and the mortality rate is one hundred percent."
