'If you go down to the woods today, you're sure of a big surprise...' Willkommen in den Büschen, Aussen! Welcome to the Bushes, Outside!
Bizarre goings on at Chateau Lingus. Bunny has been a busy man, recycling junk & turning it into vehicular transport.
This is the junkyard. Right now its full o' Cubs! Bunny won a couple of job lots on the Bay & other assorted shit-for-peanuts deals. Getting the shit back to uncivilisation, was a ball ache... Most trips were done on the CG engined CB 100n (far left), Bunny's 'mule' - frames, wheels, engines, the lot, all bungee'd on & ferried to Chez Lingus on this courier hackin' beast. The two red C90s are both straight, legit & in very god nick. The other Cub behind those has CG 125 front & rear ends so it really handles well, for a C90 & it stops pretty good too... Performance, however, is sedate... Mr. Green

...But, I am gonna whack this bad boy in it, innit...

125 pit bike engine. Very light compared to the Honda lump & four manual gears. Rebuilt 'box. I have a couple of really decent carbs to go with this, a 22mm Keihin & a polished Chinese 22mm Mikuni copy with the choke assembly removed. The manifold & head have been ported with a Dremel & some home made grinders/flap wheels & sandpaper. I'm trying to work out a way of cutting slots in the stator plate & spring load it so I can advance/retard the timing. I might use the redundant choke mech on the Cub's switchgear by tapping a thread on the generator cover & connecting the choke cable to the stator plate so I can advance it on the move.

The other Cubs are gonna get original Honda bottom ends but the one with the knobbly tyres is having some Chinese head action - a 110cc conversion, which will involve shoving a drill mounted flap wheel into the crank cases & rippin' me a new one. The barrel skirt will come very close to those puny little studs methinks Shocked

The head has been fitted with a fucking cool oil cooler. I have two, a larger one for the PB engine...

All the engines were stripped & rebuilt from the best parts from a whole bin full of cogs, cranks & assorted gubbins. Another ball ache as some bits are just slightly different & can't be used in some crank cases - gear widths, counter shaft design, kick start design, bearings, fly wheels etc...

Bottom end with a rebuilt 'box...

More gubbins. I have loads of other stuff like this. The shed is full, rammed, standing room only. Mostly little Honda's, some big Honda's & some Yammy stuff...

Electric start engine just waiting for the head to come back from the workshop - plug 'ole thread needs helicoil & stud drilled out...

So that's it from planet Lingus for now. Early days & a lot of shit to be getting on with whilst the sun is shining. I haven't thought past building them up so I can see what's what. Paint & cosmetics ain't my strong point but one of 'em (the off road one), will be British Army Green with 7.62 round ammo box panniers & the other one is gonna get a two tone paint job aquamarine & cream with matt black wheels or summat like that. They are going to remain stripped, so no plastics except the road version will be wearing the ol' white legshields. I'll have to look around for one of those Bates style headlamps or a bullet one & likewise for tail lights...

So the Mule got a lil' attention today. Took off the Camberwell Carrot exhaust & shoved the Stubby on. I was gonna lose the fairing as well but I need all the room available to bungee stuff to for my forthcoming camping trip & the fairing takes quite a bit of luggage. I also have a huge courier top box & integrated panniers but I need to move the indicators somewhere or I can't get it on.

Bought one of those car ciggie lighter plugs for some aux power, the plan is to fit a stereo to drown out the loud pipe with loud Punk music. I had one of those Chinese amplifiers on but it blew both channels. Forty watts? Fucking bullshit...
