Sarcasm
Got taken to court again by them on Tuesday. Failiure to send V5 off for the Bandit last year. Arrived, got taken into a side room by the DVLA prosecuter 10mins before I was due to be in the courtroom.
He showed me an example logbook, asked me what I'd done. It went a little like this;
"I made him put his adress here & here, I signed it here, he signed it there and I put it in a postbox on the way home"
"Have you got proof of postage"
"No."
"Is the adress on your current licence your current adress?"
"No. You want me to pay £50 to change my adress, I did try shortly after moving house & the request was denied."
"Oh. Well, I'm happy to write this off before we go into the courtroom, however I'd reccomend you chased up the slip stating the vehicle has been transferred next time."
Had I said, "yup, guilty as charged" they would have fined me £1000 for not sending it off...it does make me wonder how many people pay this sort of thing rather than risk going to court. My mother was insistant I should plead guilty as I'd get a reduced fine!
And yes, I did actually send the V5 off ____________________ Please be aware that the above post may be full of complete nonsense.

I sent all my docs special delivery, just wait .....
I have a busy weekend ahead, which will help, was aiming to get the other monkey bike up to full road legal (lights and stuff), changed mind, going to MOT with no lights. Had a ride on the Monkey Bike the MOT place owns, a pimped Lifan like mine with Metallic Orange paintwork and a YX140 in. Decided to stop fannying around! ____________________ Currently: Yamaha DT 125 LC2,Repsol Fireblade, and Bumblebee MSX 125 |

REJECTED
But not totally
1) Totally potato, cheques not dated. I haven't seen my cheque books in years, so a friend gave me two blank cheques, didn't check they were dated.
2) Certifcate of newness out of date, need to fill in a new one.
3) NOVA - Needs to go through clearing to get on the system, I was told I didn't need this. So will sort the above and retry, first two done already.

I was going to frame swap but the skyteam & lifan are significantly different. There is a piece on the Lifan that is welded onto the frame that carries the rear rack and seat fixing.
I would end up using the shit bits off the old bike, the tank (which leaks in the seams) and the seat which has suffered much abuse. ____________________ Currently: Yamaha DT 125 LC2,Repsol Fireblade, and Bumblebee MSX 125 |
