Just say you cannot provide proof, get them to remove it from your policy and pay the additional premium. I never declare smart water.

Same with my lad's Varadero with smartwater sticker.
I enquired about transfer too and was gobsmacked by the annual fee.

I worked out cheaper to buy datatag as a one off fee (and one off charge for transfer) and use that for the sake of insurance and a sticker.

Smartwater imho is a ripoff. Ok for first time buyer from new, stupid money for 2nd hand buyers.

I'd run a quote to see if it makes any difference to your policy. If it takes off £50, then it's obviously worth paying for.

If they do charge you admin fees though, it'll be £30 minimum.
