buy summit that attaches to the bike or your lid ..then you can switch it on and get on wit ridin your bike there are plenty choices and all at affordable prices... most do stills & movie Thumbs Up

Thought about a GoPro, one of the newer HD ones so can be used for fairly good quality stills but at £250? Nah. I must be well into five figures, need to cut what I spend on bikes outside of fuel and servicing, tyres etc.

The stopping and snapping with the reasonably good quality S3 camera is a nice idea, problem is the seat never feels uncomfortable at all even when I'm in the saddle for 3-4 hours at a time.

I'm at Newcastle Uni. Went in the J&S store which isn't too bad. It was dead though and the 2 blokes working there looked sick as a chip.

Now for some pics.........

Rideout today:

Sunderland > Metro Centre > Hexham > A686 > Hartside Pass > Penrith > A592 > Kirkstone Pass > Ambleside > The Struggle > Kirkstone Pass > Penrith > Carlisle > Sunderland

About 250 miles.

I took the boring route back as took the wrong turn off at Penrith Crying or Very sad . Had to stop on the A69 on the way back to rest my derriere.
Thankfully found something infinitely more comfortable (Than the ZX7's seat) to sit on for 15 mins , a concrete wall.

https://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn6/ElScampio/Rideout%20Ambleside/CAM007251_zpsc352711e.jpg

It's the first time i've been up Kirkstone Pass. The pictures don't show just how quickly it climbs up and just how amazingly beautiful it is around there.

Great ride out today.

It's a great road but very unforgiving if you fuck up you'll hit a stone wall or an oncoming car probably Thumbs Up Plus you've got chavs cutting corners, coaches taking up the road road etc. but yeah. I was chasing a busa down there once and he just waved me past, looked like too much work for such a heavy machine, it was taking off on the bumps and alsorts, I was entertained Very Happy There's also a road near the pub and car park that you can take, it's interesting too, it's very, very steep and twisty and narrow, cagers usually ruin it but some times you get lucky.

Yep going up the Pass was great, going back down was very hard work as the 7 isn't exactly light.

I came back up from Ambleside on the road I think your talking about (The Struggle). I got caught behind some cagers until the front one stalled on part of the steep bit which allowed me to nip round them Mr. Green

They had signs saying it will be closed on Sunday 7th for a Triathlon.

This one: https://www.trihard.co.uk/helvellyn/Helvellynhome.htm

That sounds absolutely brutal Sick

Met up with J.M. and _Iain_ for a blast on ze bikes. Think today was the most fun ride I've had all year and also the most dangerous and idiotic Laughing

Went from Maidstone to Leysdown, then on to Medway, to Hoo and pissed around near a power station then smashed it all the way home. Not a massive trip but a day on the bikes at least. Ended up taking the triple off road, riding down grassy hills and bouncing it all over the place Very Happy

Was preserving front tyre wear quite a bit, especially given that we are heading to France on Friday.. so wheelies, wheelies everywhere. Ended up building the balls to do them whilst my legs were on my tank under the handle bars... which was most excellent Laughing

Some shiny bike pics...

Much fun!

However... just had news J.M. may not have made it back with his bike intact Shocked Oh dear Sad

Missus fooking hated it Laughing but a Street Triple is definitely something I have to own, the handling, engine & brakes were incredible just hated the position & comfort. (sod paying for the pic Mr Davidson has enough of my £ as it is!)

Did see some of them lads your on about making arses out of themselves during Toseland, pushing into people and making big man gestures to anyone who looked at 'em funny.

Was meant to go on the big yellow ride thing but got defeated by the Waltzer +8 or so cans of Red Stripe before we could make it over, made a nice comfy bed out of a bin then hobbled back....good night I reckon Very Happy.

Yeah.. that's the place.. I paid 6 quid for that what's on the plate + a cold drink. After 2 hours of riding the chairs they had outside were very inviting. Also on a positive note that egg and bacon didn't give me diarrhoea Wink
