For Sale is my Yamaha WR250F that i have owned for the past couple of years. The bike is in very good condition and mechanically perfect as i have serviced the bike at least every 500 miles, which would include, new oil filter, new oil, new air filter, fluid check, brakes check ect.... ect.... It has also had valve clearance checks every 1000 miles. I will put the bike through an MOt for the new user.

Loads of Service paperwork
New Chain and Sprocket 1000 miles ago costing £75.00
New Clutch Plates 1000 miles ago Costing about £75.00, the old clutch plates were fine when i removed them and found out that the clutch plates were sticking as the bike had been sat for 3-4 months.
Shock absorber service costing £99.99 at a place called RACE HQ about 500 miles ago.
I replaced various berings costing abot £100 about 500 miles ago.

The bikes covered about 6000 miles

Now about the bike,

Its a 2006 model registered on a 2007 plate. Its a pre 2007 steel frame model with steel valves that last far longer than the titanium coated valves on the 2007 on-wards aluminium frame WR250F's. I have check the valve clearances 4/5 times about every 1000 miles and have not had to make any adjustment as they have been in tolerance each time.

The bike is fully road registered for use in daylight only. I have to tape the headlights and rear light up prior to putting the bike through the daylight MOT but as soon as it has passed the MOT i remove the tape from the lights i i believe having lights makes it safer to be used on the road.

The bike is push button start as standard. It is electric and kick start which makes life very easy for me compared to others that i ride with who only have kick start.

All the parts on the bike are standard apart from the Acerbis hand guards that cost £70.00, the flexible number plate mount to stop the number plate from snapping off and the red pull straps so the bike can be pulled out of a ditch if you was to get stuck.

The bike has an 8 litre tank that will cover about 90 mile from full to empty. The reserve fuel switch needs turning to utilize the last 2 liters out of the tank. When you turn the reserve on you need to find a petrol station ASAP. The bike has 5 gears and will do 90mph on flat tarmac but has only been used on the road about 20% of the time and i tend to sit in top gear at low RPM at about 50mph to save wear and tear on the off road tyres and also as the bike has an engine with frequent service intervals in would not be a good idea to rag the nuts off it on the road. Most of the bikes life has been sat in 2nd,3rd and 4th gear at low RPM on green lanes and dirt tracks.

The bike is very light weight about 115kg wet weight and an ideal bike for anyone who wants to give off roading/green laning a try.

The bikes located in the Leeds Bradford area and you are more than welcome to come and view and test ride the bike as long as you have insurance and a deposit that you can put in my hand for the full value of the bike.

I am looking for £2300.00 O.N.O as my local garage wants about £2800 for a very similar bike. I am open to offers as i would like to sell the bike and replace it with something else in the near future.
