Hi
I have two non-running CG's I want to get rid of, both in good nick and with V5 paperwork.
First one

2001 one frame, 1999 engine I believe, the engine has blew up. Otherwise it still has a current MOT!
The other one
Will upload pics later
Is a 2001 model I believe, with electric start. Has been used as a parts donor, engine works but carb needs adjusting as running rich. Again has V5. Something like 29k miles on it I believe.

Two wheels, one burst tyre, most the parts are there
Between them both there's a full CG in there, the one pictured just needs an engine transplant.

Hi, chatting to a mate and he may be interested in the bikes, mostly he wants to know how much? Although he's asking me to do whatever work is needed so I have some questions.
1. What parts do you know are missing from the donor bike?
2. How did you blow the engine?
3. Are the seals leaking under the fork gaiters?
Thanks,
Sam.

1. Front wheel brake hub is pretty mullered on the donor, I have it but it's off the splines and a few people have been unsuccessful in getting it back on! Mirrors, kick start is bent but it's there, headlight is all there but I can't remember what we took it off to borrow! Should work. Body work and seat and tank etc is all there, the bodywork is a bit snapped up though and could do with a bit of handy work. It's cabled tied onto the ex-running bike. Battery is probably dead by now, dunno if you can charge it. Electric start never worked on the donor but it's there, probably needs the brushes cleaning up.
2. No clue. Had ridden about 6 miles of NSL roads after letting it warm up outside the cob shop, the same way I do every morning, riding into residential area at about 40mph, filter past a cop car, carry on as normal at 40mph then suddenly BANG and the engine dies, no compression on the kick, try and bump it and get BANGBANG. Probably piston rings have gone or a hole in the piston. Donor engine was running but very rich and boggy, carb needed adjusting. Never got to ride it.
3. Forks & Seals are in very good nick on both bikes. Donor has been kept in my front room safe from the weather Smile
Price, dunno really what do you want to pay? |
