Been in the Regency (of Layer Cake fame) many a time. There's a woman works in there with a voice so loud it could stop an earthquake. Parking not too good but the food is ok for a fry-up.

Went there last Sunday, it was mobbed. Not sure what was going on, so went up the road to Jack's Hill Cafe, which was also mobbed (Buell owners club meet). Ended up at Scoffer's Cafe on the A45.

All purveyors of fine lard Smile

I'm surprised that the truck stop in the layby on the A66 just after Scotch Corner isn't on the list.

Found web site for it here. Always try and call in on way to Carlisle. Breakfast butty really good and they even do hot Ribena Very Happy

Wotcha.

Another Thumbs Up for Dom's.

OK - a tad more expensive than the usual "greasy spoon" but it's well worth it . . . . . ( trust me, I'm a fat bastard ) Mr. Green

Also https://www.transportcafe.co.uk/ has some good places near motorways, so avoiding getting ripped of by the usual chains.
