A bit earlier in the year than normal as M1ke has been hassling me to do something for ages and requested these dates.

I have confirmed they have space for the moment, I haven't confirmed a price yet - hopefully should be cheaper for those that want to play on both vehicles.

Usual waffle; good fun, ideal start to your 'track' career, beat rival BCFers, blah, blah.

This is the place, located just off Junction 17 of the M4 - https://m4karting.com/minimoto.html we had people coming from as far as North Yorkshire last time and the 'borg has shown that such distances are piffling the hardcore anyway Wink.

If I'm not working.

EDIT: Make that a definite, I'm not working that Saturday. Thumbs Up Mr. Green I've not crashed a mini-moto yet, time to cross that one off the list. Are the spaces limited or anything, do you know?

I need an idea of people going to get costs, unfortunately.

Been rather busy, but could people confirm or not, as well as advising on any other people they are bringing on the basis it will be no more than £35 per vehicle - hopefully less for both.

Got interest on facebook and bits and pieces elsewhere, but been too busy to do much.

Will give them a call soon to confirm details etc.

www.easyjet.com
Probably cost you less to get to the UK than it'll cost me to get to Hullavington Smile.

£30 for 3 x 10 minute sessions on either vehicle (£5 off).
However you have to pay a one off £3 'membership' fee too.
For this you get the results from the final 'race' of each session available by phone app, facebook etc - here's the android app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sms.timing.m4karting&hl=en_GB (much fancy).

Starting at 10 (yes, ouch, early - been stupidly busy recently so getting this sorted has been one of many, many things on the list).

Is that £30 going to be £60 if I want to have a go on both? Or is it £30 for 3 sessions on a minimoto and then three more in a go-kart?

That app-thing seems like a good way of showing off your times.

£30 per vehicle - so £30 for 3x10 minimoto and another £30 for 3x10 minutes karting.

The format will be two 10 minutes practices followed by a ten minute race.

I'm going to see if I can get it a bit later in the day as I'd initially said 12 to others before I'd sorted the booking properly, but not sure I'll be able to.

Karting only for me.

Any idea what the parking is like down there?

Just wondering what security to bring

Never had a problem there - it's out of the way the only place near by is Hullavington airfield, only used for the karting place, outside the main entrance and there's loads of space.

So I wouldn't bother with security for the bike personally.

Assuming the pikeys aren't camped up outside then you'll be fine and I've not seen anything in the news too recently about them being there. Thumbs Up

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Bring a helmet to avoid using their 'public' ones, but if you haven't done minimoto before, be aware you SHOULD be crashing (which is fine as you're already basically sitting on the floor when cornering).
Sliders are provided, but old jeans or similar and a motorbike jacket is sensible.

Please turn up BY 11am.

Nice to see a few new faces.

Also had a first, maybe even for a BCF event (not including when on the road) - an ambulance called! Ok, it was a paramedic in a car, but that's still got to count for something.

I definitely enjoyed it and glad to see I hadn't entirely forgotten how to ride a bike around a track (even if smaller and slidier versions!)

Next one - I'm thinking 5th April. Will be more organisation next time hopefully!

I think it was 9 doing minimoto and 11 doing karting (not all minimoto doing both) - was actually ok as not too many on track, but enough to still have some fun with and so on.

Will hopefully have a decent turn out for the next one with some proper planning.
