So about 5 weeks ago I bought a Street triple R 2013 model with ABS, 545 miles on the clock, first service carried out, like new pretty much.

Up Brecon Beacons the other weekend;

I have just fitted an SC project GPM2 exhaust

https://www.sc-projectshop.com/prodotto_dett.php?id=295#.VCszRPldVZs

Its a slip on, I ordered it direct from Italy, it took just under 2 weeks from ordering to delivery. Its a mighty fine exhaust and looks far better than the "official" Arrow. Conversion from Euros saw it cost £330 delivered.

Excuse the poor photo, lighting in this carpark isn't the best!

It sounds fantastic, It crackles and pops when you are off the throttle, nice deep sound. Though without the baffle it's stupidly loud so the baffle is staying. Ill upload some decent pics in sunshine asap.

I am loving the bike as well, I sold my 2005 zx10r in May and I do not regret it for a second. I can feel like I am caning this without doing silly speeds akin to the zx10r! All in all, love it

Cheers

Mike

My photography skills are non existent, so I agree it doesn't look particularly great in these. Looks fantastic in person, I'll try to get a better shot of it.

Its also about 3kg lighter, and sounds bloody amazing in comparison.

Just learning to clutch it up in second at the moment, the zx10r would power wheelie in first and second, this needs more encouragement.

I've also quickly gotten over the headlights, I was not a fan to begin with when they first arrived, warmed to them now, they are also very bright at night, which is also a bonus :p

Pretty much, thing is the zx10r was an absolutely mental bike. My friend owned it since new, it had a quickshifter, full akra system, PC3 with custom setup on a dyno with 3 read outs from 2 different dynos.....162, 161 and 168bhp at the rear wheel. Bloody fast.

The first 2 gears the front wheel lifts, full throttle 4th gear and the front end is light with the bars twitching like a mofo over every little bump. Red line first gear, 104mph, second gear, 120? Its stupid, you cannot cane it on the road without being in ban territory speeds. it's clearly a weapon for the track, the road though?

I still have and still had my zx7r during ownership of the zx10r, looking at both in the garage at the same time before a ride out, I felt obliged to take my "new" toy out, when really all I wanted to do was get on the old zx7r and cane the crap out of it, knowing that riding the same way on the zx10r would be a fight from start to finish to keep my speed down.

The street triple is fun because I can red line it, listen to that airbox howl through several gears, its fantastic, big wide bars and a "sporty" but upright position makes it feel like a flickable toy.

Get a test ride from one Conzar, you might like it.

What speeds are you trying to lift it?

I find 70mph in 3rd gear works well.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnzMQQ5_My4

and..

https://i61.tinypic.com/jrbiia.jpg

or 2nd anywhere around 6k upwards.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fyTo8G8Zzl0&feature=youtu.be

Not managed to find a nice enough stretch for 4th gear and 90+ but I shall someday Laughing

But no, I agree with the "more fun because rag it" stuff Thumbs Up

Aside the very easy to do power wheelies on the zx10r, I'm fairly new to them, so its all practice practice for me on the triple at the moment.

Can get it to lift about a foot in second, I think I just need to be more heavy handed with the throttle and let the clutch out quicker to get more height. The zx10r needed a very controlled throttle hand to avoid it coming up too fast, the triple seems to be a lot less so, so yeh, heavier hands needed Smile

That one? Not a fan personally, looks like a large egg haha

This SC Project looks mint in the flesh and sounds the bollocks, I considered a fair few cans before deciding on this one. But then we all have our own ideas of what looks good.

That's the one, like the stubby look on the new Street, would have to have the baffle in...On my old street I had a ixil baffle-less pipes and got on my tits in the end.

Had a listen to the SC one on YouTube...Your right it does sound good Thumbs Up
