Looks like an amusing [and slightly painful for some] day Razz

A group of us from the south on BCF are off to lose our airsoft-virginity this weekend, will try grab some pictures of how that goes if I can; expect it will be an embarrassing shambles with us all being noobs Laughing

We're going to Ground Zero in Ringwood just outside Bournemouth. Think the majority of us will start doing it more regularly if it goes well.

Would definately be interested in a mid-UK meet up or similar though. We would have a fair few more people coming this weekend but its been arranged last minute so many are already busy or working.

I've tried paintballing once. It's a load of fun. I took a helmet cam with me and strapped it to my mask. Got some funny footage Laughing

I was going to stick my camera, but didn't seem worth it when a lot of my 'action' was lying in some undergrowth for 10 minutes, then firing at a flash of orange on the path and scampering to a different part of undergrowth before others tried to repay the favour.

Was fun Thumbs Up.

I woke up today to find I have a lump on my jaw which is odd as i don't even remember getting hit there.

I think there is talk of heading up to Reading(?) for airsoft in an old shopping centre... that sounds very good and I'm definitely up for that Thumbs Up

https://www.zedadventures.co.uk/locations/the-mall/ is the Reading one.

Interesting that they DO mention they will hire out their sites to private parties - so could look to organising a proper 'BCF day', though may be limited by hire guns.

Also, it turns out, I now see google tells me, that 'BFG' is a 'Blank Firing Grenade'.
I did wonder why some kid was asking if we anyone had one of these:

Perhaps we should get a savings pot started for a BCF communal mini-gun; seem to be out of stock everywhere though - which is suprising considering they cost a few grand Laughing

Nevermind the minigun, I want one of these:

(I was thiniking that if you don't stick to 'traditional' formats, there's a lot of possibilities - also thinking a dual barrel with an additional bolt action 500fps sniper barrel.)

Wouldn't be a bad idea Razz they already sell some 'dual' guns it seems; although rather pointless as its just a weaker single shot secondary gun attached in this case. Presumably so you can say 'i've got a shotgun too!'.

Can't see changing the bottom bit out for a 500fps sniper causing any issues in terms of using it - the slightly lower barrel probably wouldn't make a difference to accuracy using the sights, considering how little drop-off the few sniper-rifles I saw at the weekend seemed to have. Not sure how easy it would be in terms of additional springs/battery and so forth; can't be heavier than some of the 15kg machine guns though Laughing

Another handy add-on in the future would probably be one of these - AA battery powered auto-wind mag with 2500 rounds; would be able to get fairly trigger happy on auto Laughing doesn't even appear to be any larger in height so you could still lie on the ground with it comfortably.

I believe the 'shotguns' typically fire multiple bbs at once.
Whether that offers much over holding the trigger down on with a bit of movement is another matter.

Was also thinking a cyborg style barrels along arms, but that's taking it a tad too far, perhaps.

Seeing that I seem to have a new resident (I didn't mind the spider, as it's actually useful - but a mouse I'm less impressed by) I stuck a 3s (did have a 2s) battery in to the PM5 and it seems to be significantly quicker fire rate - not that it was that slow before.
(It's kept it's head down since, alas.)

As I did rather a lot crawling through undergrowth, reckon I'd prefer the gun to stay flat (as at some point it was flat on the ground etc), but was wondering about an electric magazine
