Looks like we have a new R1 coming next year, 2 variants. One being the basic model which is supposedly going to be around the 200bhp mark and a race version that will have 230bhp with all sorts of electronic toys including lean angles sensors, accelerometers and more

Are Japs somehow cheating the laws of physics every 2 years with their new bikes? How far can they push a liter engine? Smile

As an owner of the current version, which isn't exactly good looking, even i was put off by:

I quite like the lights. Or rather the front of the bike. It looks more like a track/race machine with added lights. At least the lights are symmetrical Wink

As for the exhaust it's going to be changed by most of the owners anyway.

WTF have they done. Looks like they've tried to out-German the Germans. Stupid lights, square bodywork and the fugliest exhaust known to man.

98, 03-05, 08-09,11 Liked them all, particularly 98 and 2008 though.

Channelling Farage, wonder how much of it's fugly is legislative.

Will probably grow to like it over time. Thought the 1000r was terrible and now.....no, still think it looks bad.
