I think Korn might have something to say about you plagiarising his forum.

I must apologise for the lack of inbetween photos. I generally just get on with it and don't stop to take photos as my hands are covered in shit or for whatever reason.

Anyway, there's been some more progress.

Bought some more stuff. Got a new lock set for, can see the powdercoated top yoke there, also got new handlebars and renthal grips. Stuck those on with the switchgear and new throttle cables etc:

https://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x474/0l0dom0l0/20140713_204525-Copy.jpg

New rad on:

https://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x474/0l0dom0l0/20140713_204315-Copy2.jpg

Starter motor in place:

https://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x474/0l0dom0l0/20140713_204328-Copy2.jpg

All on with the hoses start to be fitted:

https://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x474/0l0dom0l0/20140713_204221-Copy2.jpg

Pulled out the old throttle bodies which were just in an awful state. There was honestly no helping them. Manged to source some ones in really good nick of ebay for about £60:

Started to clean up one of the exhausts I have:

Haven't really come back to this since you bought it - my, how time flies! Looks like it's coming along nicely; I'll have to have a better read through later.

Me and a colleague at work were just saying how we hate people who have the money and time to do these sorts of projects - and then you go and buy the Honda; that's just c**tish Laughing

Sadly, it might seem all fine and dandy in the thread but I'm actually really struggling to find the time and money to do this.

I'm working in Essex now but the bike and all the bits are at my parents which is 80 miles away. I'm travelling back at weekends when I can and buying a few bits each month to spread the cost.

Reality is it's going to be a while until its completed. I guess I'd like it to be done by next spring to ride it over the summer, but then I wanted it done for this summer and that never happened.

It's not to far off now, I'm halfway through cleaning the exhaust which means I can refit that and then also refit the bottom rad. I can get the front wheel in, mudguard and front brakes sorted then, which I still have to decide on as I have 2 setups for the bike. Then the subframe can be put back on after I get it powdercoated black like the rest of it (in hensight I should have just got it done with the frame, I have no idea why I didn't).

I can get the rear sets painted with the sub frame and then stick those on with the various gear linkages etc.

What's left would only really take a weekend to put back on and together, but it takes so long when there are bits that need sorting in between. Bolting stuff on is the easy bit and is the time when you feel like you're making good progress but the rest of it just takes forever. I ended up spending all of yesterday cleaning the exhaust, and probably only got half of it done to my standard.

There's no point in rushing the rest now, what's left is all bits people will see and when you've spent this much time, effort and money on something it's the attention to detail that really matters!.

Been having mixed feelings about it, I look at it and think fuck me I've spent so much money on this, I could have spent it on something else. Then look at it and think yeah but it's so shiny.

I'm still looking forward to riding it though Smile
