I was thinking of one of these. How is the power delivery.

Cheers Thumbs Up

Power is very linear, decent grunt from down low and will pull from 3k in top without protesting. The handling on this one wants looking at, rear is way too high, and front wants an overhaul as its a bit spongy.

Got a list of bits I need pricing up for the overhaul, £85 for uprated springs/spacers/oil, also want new valving, fresh oil + dust seals and new bushes, get them properly tip top.

Brakes upgraded, damn thing stops on a sixpence now! It's highlighted the need for the forks to be refreshed though

Ordered tyres last week, Pirelli Rosso 2s in stock sizes and correct weight/speed ratings, £143 delivered was the best price I could get anywhere.

As soon as the white wheels are on and sorted I'll be selling the black ones, and will be looking to buy the parts to uprate the front end and possibly the carbon shell for the tank depending on what I get for them.

White wheels are on, new tyres mostly scrubbed in so very happy, now to save up enough to get a new shock and the front end rebuilt Smile

Made enquiries regarding a new rear shock and complete front end refresh and upgrade kit, so waiting to hear how poor I'm going to be in the near future (set aside about £1000 to do both ends, £250 on a HRC replica linkage, £250 on a complete fork kit and around £500 on a fancy shock of some sort)

Also got my eye on some carbon fibre panels for when the money from my NC30 accident comes through (currently waiting on an answer to an offer, should hear tomorrow then the cheque will be here inside of 14 days)

Good news!! After 3 and a bit years we've come to an agreement on compo amount, cheque will be with me in the next 14-21 days.

Put in a price request for full carbon panels, so should get those in the new year. Been offered a pair of ZXR400Ls so might have those to keep me busy after this is done.

Cheers! Thumbs Up Smile hopefully that's the case, was pretty worried all the views were coming from spambots or something!

Only news is it has new shiny caliper mounting bolts, the old ones were scabby and one was rounded off, so needed replacing. Still waiting on a price for the panels, but have a rough idea. Still contemplating whether to get a double bubble screen or not though...

I'm almost certain I saw you on this today.. I mean how many can there be with immaculate white wheels and that sticker rings a bell too!

Red leathers? A 11 roundabout? I was in a saxo looking over at the bike and got cut up by a 4x4 dickhead Laughing

Man, what are the chances of that.

Thumbs Up

Haha its not that good really! I'm also waiting for the money to clear on the trio of ZXR400L's I mentioned, pics when I can.

Cheers bud! Not exactly rolling, but the insurance of the guy that wrote my NC30 off finally made a decent offer and I felt like doing something interesting!

Meanwhile the ZXRs have landed, there's so much stuff its half filled my container! Going to get the road one back together and sold then focus on building the other and servicing the racer. Should be able to grab pictures tomorrow Smile

There's one (and the 2 spare frames sneaking into shot too)

https://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb73/sam_billing_91/Mobile%20Uploads/2015-01/20150105_124401.jpg

Under there somewhere is another (got a bodykit and 2 sets of tyre warmers on top of it)
https://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb73/sam_billing_91/Mobile%20Uploads/2015-01/20150105_124406.jpg

Will try and tidy it up a bit and find some sort of order!

I take it that your new PFM discs are iron rotors? If so do they work well with sintered pads would you know?

I've just wondered if Iron discs like organic pads better, since they have considerably more friction than stainless steel discs do?
