Having had joy with dry + empty roads last week, went for it again. Using some cool little back roads that mostly avoid places with xmas shopping. Result, another great run. At the moment, riding in the south doesn't seem quite so shit like it did during the summer.

Guildford -> Wisborough Green -> Petworth -> Midhurst -> West Dean -> South Harting -> Petersfield Heath (stopped for pics + to defrost) -> Loomies -> Alton -> Selborne -> Rake -> Fernhurst -> Haslemere -> Dunsfold -> Guildford.

118 miles. Good times Thumbs Up .......except the occasional moment of epilepsy and complete blindness.

Went to go morrisons which is about 5 minutes away
Instead went on an adventure and ran out of fuel, onto reserve and luckily found a fuel station to fill up Thumbs Up

Gave it a little run for it's money, feels lovely now it's had it's gaskets and forks done, can barely hear it over wind noise and it wasn't even that bad Shocked

Is possible to get indicated 110 out of it and can probably do more

Hoo-fkn-ray
Had my Fazer fix today! Dance!

Went to Blade's at Swindon, had a browse. Bikes that caught my eye included 2nd hand 4XV R1, red/white, immaculate; 05 plate ZX10R, green with Akra can, the GS1000E that keeps drawing my eye, and a KTM 990 SD, black, £5k.

Sausage and bacon butty, then down to Avebury, then Silbury Hill:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/SilburyHill201214_zps227cd57d.jpg

A4 ( Twisted Evil ) to Marlborough, A345 to Pewsey and Upavon, A338 and A346 back to Marlborough and Swindon, short stretch of dual carriageway on the A419, Highworth, Lechlade, to A40 at Burford. Maxxed it out on a private road that bore a striking resemblance to the A40 ( Razz ) to Witney, and home. About 120 miles covered. I wasn't sure I was really in the mood until the Avebury road, but a good route, and surprisingly quiet for a Saturday. Love that bit from Upavon to the 338 especially, and had it aaaall to myself! Dry roads - let me say that again, cos I like the way it rolls off the tongue: DRY FKN ROADS!

I is very happy Very Happy

Today, I decided to get the ZXR and have the Christmas ride, that people here do for 8 years now. 380+ motorcycles rode thought the town, we stopped traffic on every single intersection. I was on the only one ZXRP1 there. I left the MZ in the garage, it was far too nice weather to spend it on a eastern German thing.

Xmas day is definitely not to be missed if the weather's good! Empty roads today, sometimes it was like I was the last person on Earth Smile

Headed down to Salisbury Plain via Swindon, first ciggy break at Royal Wooten Bassett:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/DSCF6305_zps4e221ae9.jpg

Next stop for a coffee break (took a flask) was White Horse Hill at Bratton Camp:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/DSCF6309_zps69c8d0d9.jpg

Bloody cold wind at the top, so the coffee was appreciated. Some others up there having fun of a different kind:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/DSCF6314_zpsc9fd3e20.jpg

Oi, you calling my bike fat?! :

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/DSCF6324_zpsfe9f0050.jpg

This was on the A360 I think, lovely sweeping bends and ups and downs.

Lot of petrol stations closed today, but found one on the A303 near Stonehenge to fill up so I didn't have to take things too easy.
Of course, ended up here again on the way back for the last coffee stop:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/DSCF6326_zps3fcc50a0.jpg

174 miles covered, a proper Xmas day treat Very Happy

Not bad! Would have preferred to have been down that way myself, but my damn bike is in Bedfordshire so went for a blast around here instead.

Took the Daytona out round Port Talbot and Swansea. Roads were dry and weather sunny. No traffic - one of the best rides of the year. Razz

Another sunny day spent carving up Salisbury Plain and the Marlborough Downs.

Unusual road signs, Part 2:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/SalisburyPlainRide2115002_zpsde8b35c3.jpg

The nearest you can get to Stonehenge without paying now it's all controlled by that crap visitor centre:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/SalisburyPlainRide2115005_zps8383f4c8.jpg

Jeez, how many feckin white horses are there around here?! :

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/SalisburyPlainRide2115012_zps149c39d3.jpg

And a couple of Avebury stone circle and associated earth works, barrows etc:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/SalisburyPlainRide2115021_zpsd9c1b53c.jpg

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/SalisburyPlainRide2115025_zpsed346dab.jpg

Good roads around the Plain, were mostly dry today, and starting to get familiar with them now.

This little track goes a bit further on, don't know how far, could be you get a better view further up. But actually, if you head just a little further along in an easterly direction on the A303, there's another little road or field entrance on the opposite side, where you could stop to get a closer view (sorry, had forgotten about it when I posted the piccie). Don't know if you'd get the bike in shot from that one though.

A1 is ok on Sunday Morning, I wouldn't like to ride it on the 125 during the week though. I stayed off the A1 until after Morpeth
