Abit of an update, been on with the front end mainly, frames are back from the powdercoaters and on the bench!

https://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f215/stesewell/20150117_170708_zps9pxwbmt5.jpg
Starting to build up the front end now.
https://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f215/stesewell/20150117_181333_zpsltbgcf8g.jpg
Tank arrived (ebay steal) its the same as my other one (5gallon long range)

Unfortunately, when away for powdercoating they ruined my swinging arm bushes, so they had to be replaced, not ideal doing it after its been coated for obvious reasons, but these things are sent to try us I suppose!
so.. the hacksaw came out to remove the outer race of the bearing.

First one had to be cut in a few places (right) to remove it, but then i used a spacer to drive the old one out after soaking it heavily in penetrating fluid.

This is what they are supposed to look like.

They pressed in fairly easily, not too easy, as they are an interference fit.

I cant see anything wrong with them, when I first did my own triton I put Manx bronze bushes in it, probably abit overkill, but never mind! ____________________ Current : 06 Zx10r, 07 Wr450f SM, 74 850 norton commando, 63 bsa b40, 1962 Triton 650, 67 Triumph Tr6r, 1955 Triton 750, 1978 TY250E. |

Tyre on, just the brake to rub down and polish now (sigh)
More to come, hopefully be a rolling chassis soon!
Sorry for not going to in-depth.. id probably only bore people, and I prefer to spend most of my time building!

Far from boring ____________________ stinkwheel: He had an animated .gif of a cat performing fellatio. It's not socially acceptable. It can have real life adverse effects on other people. |

That's very pretty indeed! id love to enter into some classic racing, but all my bikes are too "showy" for that sort of thing.. ive been toying with the idea of building a racer for some time.. would probably be a lot cheaper than building shiney roadbikes!
Well, talking of shiney bits, heres some that came yesterday, sadly the torque arms are going to need some modification as they don't align with the brake plate, but everything else looks good!
One box of shiney for the magpies.

all made from Stainless, clock mounts in stainless are especially important as alloy ones crack!
Finally got the rear wheel finished, tyre on, and brake plate just about finished, needs cam ect.

More pictures to come, will hopefully be looking more bike shaped soon! ____________________ Current : 06 Zx10r, 07 Wr450f SM, 74 850 norton commando, 63 bsa b40, 1962 Triton 650, 67 Triumph Tr6r, 1955 Triton 750, 1978 TY250E. |
