I got this bike as a project and spent around 1 month building it and it cost about £300 to get all needed parts and put it back on the road Smile
Still needs a bit of work but everything is mechanicaly sound
gilera runner standard 50cc
chrome zx pipe - still looking fresh
molossi clutch bell
polini variator
molossi front wavy disk
molossi air filter
does 50mph on a flat
good enouph for me
If you accelerate from a stand still the front wheel lifts up off the ground.
also i have fitted leds to the front of the ped and 2 in the side of the crash protectors

I used to have a Gilly ICE. I always wanted to put a Typhoon 125 Air cooled 2t Motor in it. But they are like rocking horse shit.

Theres a Piaggio ZIP that rides about up at Ebbsfleet every Wednesday. He's got a 125 Typhoon lump in it, And it really does move for a scoot Cool

Yh i turn 17 in september so i am going to drop a gilera 125 in it then get it re-registered as a 125. I could do i know but i just want to stay legal. even though i am ridin on a ped that does more than 31 but what they hay.
And also i only found out the other day that you can put a standard 172 bore on a 125. So thats what i am also thinking of doing.
I need speed as i do a 30 mile A-20 journey to my dads house Cool

Hey

Why did you change to water cooled Confused

125 engines in a Ice cause speed wobbles n I wouldn't recommend it, do you not like the runners?

A 172 bore (Malossi) is not standard on any bike but yes they do bolt on to 125/180.

all you need is a set of cases and you can build it up to 183 spec Wink

I changed it to water cooled as when i got the bike from my mate as spares the original engine was bored and he blew it up.
So he gave me the water cooled engine to fit to it.
Easy done and i like it as its unique. Only thing is you have the water bottle at the back of the bike but it sounds gdd and has alot of power everywhere i go.
also thanks about that speed wobble. Glad you told me now before i went and did it and found out myself the hard way.
I do like gilera runners but i dont have that much money to buy one so i thought it would be easier to just fit a 125 in this one. this ped till has 12months mot and tax Laughing

Apart from the front disc being bolted on the wrong way round. That is looking absolutely awesome!

Some serious improvement. Thumbs Up
