Not sure if I dare ride the XJ600 down incase it shits itself and i'm left without work transport...though I want to.
See how I feel closer to the time, benson is there a ride going if not?

Could ride down to brum and go from there if you want, least then i've had a mini adventure. Got a garage?

Well I go on holiday for 10 days on the 25th August, so any weekend prior to that is ok with me, but agree with 1st Feb being a good day to call it.

Probably have to turn up Saturday afternoon though due to working Saturday mornings Evil or Very Mad

Ha ha, Crosshands... Make sure you take plenty of breaks to stretch out, you don't want to be overdoing it.

How come you didn't make it last year? You could have walked it in about 3 hours.

I will attend if the dates fit in with holidays / expeditions etc. Can add some shotgun cartridges / clay pigeons to the communal fund, I assume 12g? What about a mini shooting range with air rifles?

Yes mate 12g up and under. Also have a few other shotguns too so we could have multiple shooters if we really wanted.

Mini shooting range sounds like a great idea. I don't have a working air rifle at the moment. Mine seems to be on its way out. New spring may be required before the event.

If anyone else has some firearms they wish to bring then that would be cool.

I have some clay carts somewhere I picked up for a song from an old boy who had packed up shooting. I have a HW95k and a Webley Omega I am putting back in to working fettle. If anything else pops up in the meantime for cheap I will be tempted. Laughing

Got a plan to fit a gun cabinet in the back of my next green laning rig. Or if I don't get it sorted in time do you have a safe big enough to pop extra shotguns in?

Wondered about an rc-plane/multicopter towing a drogue for target practice, or if it was just airsoft guns, maybe make some of these and just shoot the planes themselves...

(Similarly, now got a chunky RC car that will handle the field better, so could cover that in foam and shoot at that for a more interesting target-practice.)

We were thinking of a full range and grill, just for the Glamping effect. Not sure if the double gazebo is up to it though. Pulled pork for Sunday lunch with a few roasties we were thinking. Peas being optional.

We were thinking instant mash, but depending on what the New potatoes look like at the time we may go for those. Looking at a nice cake mix too. Scones and tea in the afternoon while watching the mayhem.

Decently cooked food would be nice
Everyone is terrified of food poisoning therefore serves charcoal, i'm sad to say all the nice meat was ruined by being burned to a crisp

The nicest food we had was off benson's gas grill, cant remember what it was but it was delicious and I can still imagine it now

Everything else my friends, was charcoal

Bombay Badboy and Stroh. Thumbs Up

Arse was wrecked when I got home....Bowl explosion. Thumbs Up

I see no need for fancy food.

[edit] Penny has just dropped. Rolling Eyes

I recall running across the field when I saw the stove falling over and setting fire to the porch area of my tent.

Only Stroh for me. Thumbs Up

We had some lovely meals cooked in cider, wine, flavoured water cooked on my little tranger stove. Some of the meat got over done because beer was involved and a cooks eye is always put off when ale is added.

I certainly didn't have any carbonised food. Maybe they just tried to feed our resident lolcow the charcoal?

I do have an oil barrel that's been destined to be a BBQ for ages - but no one offered to cover my fuel costs and the two days off work needed to retrieve it last time Wink.

I'm just good like that. I'll be bringing it again this year I think, probably will cage it again 'cause I'm lazy.
