Sorry for the bump - but want rid.

Bought this from Chalky 2 years ago.

I got it MOTd and have used it through the last two winters to protect the plastic fantastic ZZR. My commute has been just shy of 20 miles a day rain or snow it's been fantastic.

Here's what was replaced/fixed/added when I received it to get it roadworthy:

-New front brake cable
-New brake shoes front and rear
-Rear light unit was replaced (last lens was smashed)
-Offside rear indicator hanger

Pre-winter this year I have done:

-Valve clearances
-Put on some crash bars/leg protectors from a chinese copybike (bit of cheap crash protection)
-LED bulb in the rear light unit
-Metzeler ME22 tyres front and rear with new innertubes

Since I've had it it's been very reliable, it has ALWAYS started and ran and got me to work, even after sitting for weeks at a time. The only "problem" was after it sat this summer when trying to start it was a bit tough, but I blasted the carb with brake/carb cleaner and it started up and been fine ever since.

It's had it's oil changed ever 1000 miles or so, cheap supermarket oil but it's 34 years old, it hardly needs top of the range stuff.

The picture does make it look better than it is, it's a bit dirty, the tank has some stains on it and is scratched here and there, but it's a 34 year old commuter/learner bike.

The battery cover is on but is loose [it does stay on safely] and old, the offside airbox cover is gone, it was lost before I had the bike.

What I can see needed doing at some point is the chain and sprockets they're getting to the end of their life but still useable. The exhaust does look rusty and old but still solid, if you're a bit of a tart you can get a pattern new one for £50 or so.

The seat is torn, I put duck tape on it. The right hand grip end (if that makes sense, has come off. These can be replaced for pennies.

For this bike, I would sell to a BCFer for £500. I really can't let it go less than that so no offers.

If you want to come and see it, see it for what it is, a rough n ready winter hack.

Any questions, please ask.
