Hi guys, long time no speak Shocked totally lost the username and password to my old account! SO have had to register as a newbie again.

So I'm looking for a surprise gift for my partner... I've found the above track days...

I'm leaning more towards the James Whitham 2 day training at Anglesey (The track looks better, and he can use his own bike, which I think he'd prefer)

Anybody done them? OR doe's anybody know of anymore experiences like these?

Would like as many options as possible to keep him guessing Wink

Any info is much appreciated folks, Many thanks!

Nina

If you're going to do a coached track session, it's MUCH more fun to use someone else's bike. You can really give it some without the fear of smashing up your pride and joy if you cock it up.

It's a long time ago now, but I did a Ron Haslam day with a few friends. We were on the CBR600 F-Sports and my mate chucked one down the track (low-sided it at Goddards). He got a friendly talking to from Ron himself and then handed a new one and asked to please try not to do it again. I don't think they do that if you use your own.

The Ron Haslam day is widely seen as an 'experience day' type event rather than an actual race school. The Chris Walker one was supposed to be good, and the California Superbike School is good although expensive.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Hmm very valid point, he's been doing a couple of track days on his own at Oulton park... So I thought he's prefer to do it on his own.

I already mentioned Ron Haslam to him 'oh they have track training'

So I was also leaning more towards James Whitham because he doesn't know it exists I don't think.. and he likes James Very Happy

What other hired bike tracks is there, with big names that is?

I've done the Ron Haslam track day many years ago. I thought it was a good introduction to trackdays if you have never done one before.

I've also done the california super bike one and thought I learnt more from this.

It's pricey but you do learn a bit.
