[Nathan I Think]

Hi all this is my First "proper Project" i bought off a fried a 1989 FZR 600. in red with white lightning and everything haha. Not really done much yet. had a quick go around the estate and it pulls well in all gears. The first thing to sort out is the idle. it just does what it wants. sometimes it wont idle sometimes it will sit at like 4k. So carbs will be pulled off tonight and cleaned. Oh the wiring haha. theres bits of chockblock all over the place and cheap insulation tape. . for the time being here are some pictures. if i can upload them haha.

Got home lastnight and pulls the carbs and bowls off. checked the emulsiontubes and they are all okay. The next issue i ran into was the fact that i reset the air to fuel ratio back to factory setting and forgot to record what they were set at before so the bike wont run now :/ had a look around online and they said if it has pod filters and exhaust it should be around 4 turns out. does anyone else know if this is correct cheers for the help for now some pics of the carbs and diaphragms

Update: Got the bike running again now and it sounds lovely. It still bogs when you open the throttle then its fine after that. carbs will be getting tweaked this weekend and i will start on the paintwork and wheels. not decided on the colour yet thinking white. with black or grey bodywork. anyway will have some updates over the weekend hopefully. I had a 91 FZR600 I loved it.

One big thing with these bikes is 2nd gear failure.
Another is the shocking electrics.

When I had mine It would run lovely until it rained. waterproofed the electrics and everything was great.

Yeah the electrics of this are all chopped to shit aswell ile have to have a think about the waterproofing thing tho. and yeah think i might need to buy a carb rebuild kit and some new emulsion tubes.
