Heys guys,
Posted in general but would like the views of the track dayer too. I'm looking at getting a set of Dunlop sportmax racer gp d211.
Anyone got experience with these for inter group track days and a little road riding. I was thinking perhaps a medium front and endurance (hard) rear to give a bit of longevity.
I do like front end grip though!
Hoping to get a 2/3 track days out of them and some road miles.

Have you considered two sets of tyres? ie. Racetec or Supercorsa scrubs for track days and summer riding and road rubber for when the weather is worse? Swapping tyres on loose wheels is cheap. ____________________ Triumph Daytona 675 track bike + girlfriend's Honda Hornet 600

Yes that is what I've been doing Slacker! Been swapping between supercorsa scrubs and bridgestone road tyres. Although it's only 20 quid to swap the tyres it mounts up and is a ball ache to be honest.
I'm just thinking of trying to find the best of both worlds.

Hey ya,
I used a rear of these recently for a Trackday event and also a race at Brands Hatch, they are a super tyre, hold tonnes of grip. Without doubt the 2nd best tyre I have used, first being the 212 Dunlop.
For intermediate use on track you will be absolutely fine with the D211. Get the pressures right when under tyre warmers though. I used 22 psi for the rear and 32 psi for the front.

Hmm, good question, 4 or 5 on the D211 I think, it was a hard rear, so that makes sense. ____________________ Current bike - GSX-R1000 k8 |
