Dude, this day was already bad enough.

I realise the last 48 hours have been truly tragic for many people around the world. So am aware I sound ridiculous, but those photos are sad.

Will pretend that these are the before, barn find photos and all the creations are alive and tearing up a race track somewhere now.

The fact is. By the time it's completed a season, a purpose built racing car is totally fucked.

GP cars even more so than most, the car that finishes the season probably has few parts left from the one that started the season.

So you're not looking at pictures of neglected classic racing cars. You're mostly looking at piles of worn out scrap that aren't worth doing anything with.

What about the Peugeot 905? That's the car that won the 1992 LeMans 24hrs with Warwick & Blundell..

I'll take it if it's worthless Wink

There is a closed down lotus garage somewhere near southampton that still has cars/parts dating back to the 70's just sat there rotting away. Very sad.

Having been lucky enough to witness a 787B quad rotary scream around Le Mans a whole 20 years after it won the event - I'd respectfully disagree.

I said they aren't worth doing anything with, not that people wouldn't choose to take on board a money vortex.

A quad rotary race engine probably being one of the worst possible examples to pick out.

I agree, most where probably left there for a reason and would cost too much to be restored anyway. I think some should be tidied up and put in a museum though. Theres no sense letting something rot away even more.
