Has anyone had any experence in useing the 6sigmajrt kits in jetting there carbs? I have been trying to jet mine and have had nothing but trouble. they sent me #42 slow jets and the bike just will not run it will not even start with these jets, the stock jet it a #40 They also advise jetting the two outside cyl with one size main jet #122.5 and the two middle cyl with a larger jet #125 is this right or should they be all the same like the stock set up?I tried several combos but the bike still bogs at times Any help and advice is appreciated
Thanks Don

The bike is a 71 k1 honda stock with a stock air box a hooker 4-1 header with baffel the kit is supose to be tailered for my bike but it doesn't run as they say. I have contacted them and they keep telling me differen't thing to try some make it run worse and sometimes i get the impression that they are working on a differen't model. All things aside do you have any suggestions on how to jet this bike?
Thanks Don

It is a 6sigmajet kit it is suppose to be tailered just for your specific bike and altitude, but it does not seem to work for me. Do you have any suggestions on jetting a 71 k1 honda four stock bike with a hooker 4-1 header with baffel?
Thanks Don

It won't run as they say. By the website its meant for the US market with different spec bikes and fuel.

Not wishing to send you elsewhere (welcome, btw), there has to be a Stateside CB forum that would be more suited to the question? Personally, I would keep on at the vendor/manufacturer. When they give you the money back, go and see a bike dyno specialist. Good luck, and keep us posted! Thumbs Up

PS, what is a 'hooker' system? Thinking Shocked

As an aside, are you sure the problem actually lies with the jetting kit? Inlet manifolds not split, carburetors (US sp) unworn, ignition good, valves sweet, fresh fuel, etc?

In addition to what is said above,

https://www.bike-parts-honda.com/a_pieces.php?num_moto=50003&ref_vue=e26&MODEL=CB750K1-A-D-E-U

Stock mains are 120. Stock idles are as you say 40.

Was it running fine stock? Did the kit get you to drill the slides? Have you set the idle screws? Points adjusted correctly?

Stock airbox with an aftermarket pipe with baffle fitted shouldnt be much richer than stock. 125, two jet sizes is quite a bit richer. If you have them, try the stock jetting.
