That looks alright apart from the weird 'backwards' seat and silly mounted light.
OP - Looking good mate, nice work! ____________________ www.soundcloud.com/bodren |

Looking good.
For this hidden keyless ignition switch, would such a switch exist that turned the ignition off once the bike was stalled, or the kill switch (if fitted) hit. Does that make sense? I know what I mean
Basically when u hit the kill switch and reset it, u still have to push the hidden ignition switch back to on before starting again, like a fool proof switch so u cant leave the ignition on |

Sorry for slacking on the thread. My laptop broke and couldn't be arsed to get one. Posting on a phone is an utter ball ache.
Apart from a number plate which is underway with a brushed stainless mount, the bike is mot-able. Lights work, exhaust js secure, loom is finished and hidden inside the frame from the stator, cables shortened, mudguard clears, runs lovely! Well chuffed with how it has come out. The work put into relocating the electrical components has paid off, with them being almost totally invisible and preserving the lines of the bike.

MOT and legal requirements are two different things. No chain guard or speedo will get through the MOT fine (shouldn't even be an advisory) but if you get pulled by plod expect fine. A good friend is an MOT tester and also helped me rework the loom as I am useless with electrics. He says the bike will pass as is with plate on. The horn switch is actually the bare connector on the end of the wire, press it onto clip on, earths out and operates horn.
Cheers for the comments, it looks lovely in the flesh. it is tiny though, the top of the seat cushion is roughly as high as the top of the clutch cover on the el bandito. ____________________ Bikes: too many, too much for one man to maintain anyway. |
