Couldnt seem to find any topics on the TT but apologies if there are and i have missed them.

Anyone else going this year?

Will be my second year and first time on the bike, last year had to take the car. Going to be fun as its an RC8 so the wife aint very happy about the trip over but it should all be fine.

We're staying in Douglas again at the same house as last year, brilliant place and easy access to the course etc.

Not long to go now!

Surprised there's not more chat on this, i get excited about the TT in january Smile

We booked a house last year in douglas and luckily managed to get it again this year, its only a 10 mins walk from douglas so its perfect.

Have to admit its not a cheap weeks break but cant imagine missing it now.

think the bike plus me and the wife was about £310 ish and then the house is £100 a night, which we have for a week. so about £1000 and then the odd treat while we are there.

We're sponsoring a bike this year so thats cool and also plan to do the helicopter ride as it will be my 40th.

so possibly looking at over £2000 for a week at the TT depending on what we do while we are there.

Well worth it!

Have any of you done the Ulster GP? If I can fly to Belfast, stay in a hostel there then travel to the circuit on race day I could be tempted.

As we're going on the bike this year i'm looking at having some luggage shipped over.

Has anyone ever used any of these luggage shipping companies before? we're staying in a house so thats no problem but worry about having to be in all day to wait for it.

Are you taking your own tent or going with the pre-erected option?

Must be close now, everyones bike has started to go wrong!

Mine threw an error code yesterday, so I'm hoping it's a glitch, but got to check it out, my brothers STripple has developed warm starting issues, and the old mans VFR decided it was going to completely die! Laughing

I will be on the superduke which is getting a service next week.

hey ripzay, i was buzzing last year as it was our first, probably even more excited this year though as i'm on the bike.

Used to have a superduke, lovely bikes, got an RC8 now but still long for my SD. spent months and a lot of money upgrading her and then she got stolen by some gypos.

Anyway, have fun, bonus having people who know the island.
