Endurance moped/scooter racing thing

I fancy having a go at this, buy a shitter, get a few mates and go racing for a few hours, i've previously over the years seen a few threads pop up on here when it was happening.

i've done quite a lot of googling and can't find anything a couple of the links i got were dead and one of them seems to do it annually at RAF Wittering but can't really find any info about it happening this year?

could anyone shed any light on where to look ?

I've only found one place but it's in scotland

if nothing is about i guess i could get a pitbike or something though.

That looks like a proper setup requiring an ACU license etc.

i thought there were a few one off ones around the country "for charity" or whatever where people can just enter and ride only requiring a normal bike license or something.

or have i got it all wrong?

Wittering is happening this year.

Two weeks time.

All fully booked, however could probably fit you in my team if you wanted.

Don't suppose you've got a spare scooter while we on it? - just waiting to hear back if I accidentally left mine the wrong end of the country!

Bloody hell that isn't far away, i'm surprised i didn't find any info on it at all is it just once a year?

I'd love to join / come along but would feel like i'm gate crashing a bit.

i think the only thing i could possibly manage in this amount of time would be a pitbike / something i could fit in my car, are they allowed?

Nope, pit bikes aren't allowed and I'd be ok with them if they were - well, apart from the 50cc 2 stroke/90cc 4 stroke rule.

Turns out I HAVE left the bike in the wrong part of the country, but will try and arrange another.

We had been thinking either 3 or 4 people on the team and have 3 - even if you get a bit less riding (ie three quarters of an hour rather than an hour and a half in the main race), I'm sure you'd be fine to join in - will check with the other team mates.

It's a week on Saturday.

got a gopro4 with a shit ton of mounts i can bring to record some action as well if your not camera'd up

I've got a GoPro2 and a Mobius, but whether I'll have time is another matter.

Did want to try and sort out the tricopter, but being an RAF base they may not like it being used for filming anyway.

Only once a year for Wittering normally.
Sometimes has been twice I think, but other times no events at all.

Reckon that's the place. Spectators aren't allowed, but thing 'team' are, as are Marshalls.
