**UPDATE**

- Had to order a new radiator as the current one decided to crack on the outlet pipe bit. its a common fault, BM owners tend to get through a few radiators during the life of the car, they make parts of em out of plastic!

***Update as of Saturday 23rd - new rad doesn't bloody fit. A refurbed one is on its way next week and fingers crossed car will be back together by next weekend. I'm not in a rush to sell!

Added some not so great interior pics, car's in my garage at the mo so not much light.

Car is a 1997 T reg E39 BMW 520i, with the earlier 150bhp M52B20 six cylinder motor. I bought it last Summer with about 87k miles on the clock and i'm the third owner since new. Mileage is a whisker under 92k and climbing daily since I've started a new job.

Its got the grey cloth interior, no rips or tears on the seats, nice walnut trim. No warning lights on dash. Front cup holders are wobbly at best, rear ones are broken - seen a few other E39s and they're all the same; broken rear cupholders.

Its got 5 speed manual box, cruise control, trip computer, cassette player and a mount thingy in the boot for a BMW CD changer which unfortunately is not present. Original BMW toolkit and part service history, owners manual, and original BMW glove-box torch.

MOT til Feb 2016, no advisories.

Good points:

- Clutch, gears, engine, electrics all solid, all work very well, heater matrix is good, pixel trip computer is good.

- its really been looked after, was owned from new by an elderly couple with plenty of money so everything's been done. The interior is spot on save for some wobbly cup holders. The last owner only had it for three months before selling it onto me and hadn't driven it much at all.

- Alloys are in good nic with only a bit of kerbing

- Very clean underneath, no damage

- Engine is whisper quiet, no smoking or nasty noises. Its done two trips down to London and back to Lancs and up to the Lakes with no issues whatsoever, its lovely on long journeys.

- I serviced and MOT'd it in Feb and had no advisories - will have to double check the date but its got loads of ticket left.

- Full size alloy spare wheel

- I keep it in the garage, been unemployed for the last six months, so it hasn't seen daily use until recently.

Bad Points:

- There's a few scabby rust spots on one of the wheel arches, the tailgate, and on top of one of the sills. they haven't got any worse in the time i've owned it though.

- Can't find all the service receipts for it, there's plenty of stamps in the service book, the first few thousand by Bowkers BMW in Preston, and independents after. I've had it serviced twice since last year, the last being in Feb this year, with probably one-two thousand miles done since.

- Exterior can be described as reasonable, it shines quite nicely after a wash but there are loads of car park dings, pinhole dents and minor scratches on the bodywork.

- Air con was re gassed last year, worked for a while then stopped. Can hear the compressor whirring quite loudly so guess that's a goner - I just wind the window down if i'm hot, it still clears the windscreen quite quickly with it on though.

- Its a base model 520i, so not particularly rapid being a heavy old barge, but it does get 34 mpg on a long run.

- Broken rear cupholders, odd tyres on front (Pirelli and a Conti I think) and two budget tyres on the rear. All around 4 mil of tread left.
