YA! Smile After laying up the Kawasaki for over 18 months , I finally got her back on the road today.
Much thankness to Colchester Kawasaki as it appears that I have had a fair price for all the work that was done Thumbs Up

I now actually have a bike to do my mini-tour on ?

I'm sure the figures in our minds match. Still, they are a superb bike and now hopefully it will run for a few years more. I'd of loved one as a first bike Thumbs Up

Getting one would of been easy, but the insurance for a 17 year old would of raped me

Agreed! I had to let mine go, my mint MGF, and stop myself buying a Mitsubishi GTO or a 954Blade, just so I could have a flat, and 3years worth of dirty dusty DIY projects with no bikes involved whatsoever!

Felt so wrong TBH!

It's completely pointless speculating on such things but I expect my life would have turned out a lot better had I kept it. Doh!

Found the Scimitar your neighbour has more intriguing tbh, even if they were a steaming pile of vomit they were still cool. Sort of.

The G-models were nice looking bikes, and also at the stage where Kawasaki was coming out of it's me too nasty 90's gaudy colour schemes. The C-series ZX9's were very cool and simple looking too in this respect.

As for the Neighbour's shit brown colour wheels, well what a choice to have?
A nasty plastic fugly thing covering up the innards of a 3.0 Capri, or a less nasty looking (except for the colour) period wedge specialist car with a horribly unreliable slant 4 engine that costs a fortune to re-build when it's spat it's dummy out.

If the neighbour had of got a Tickford Capri or Tickford Maestro on the drive then yeah I'd take either instead of the bike, but not if it was a choice of the Elite or Scimitar though!

Ah so it is, an equally disgusting example from an era of beige and bile.
