Its standard cruiser procedure belt drive...

No maintainance, lighter than shaft drive, lighter than chain probably... only problem come when the belt goes, usually a dealer job (which would be done at the propper service interval so they rarely just go ping).

Looks good, glad they are not trying to fit in the cheep japanese alternative bracket..

Still watching what they are doing with much interest Thumbs Up

As zero said, standard cruiser thing. If you try to put masses of power through them you might get issues, but it's not like many cruisers make masses of power, especially a Hyosung 650. (Doubt the 1000 will either Smile .

It'll probably be same engine used in the comet 650 but altered a bit. Knowing hyosung they probably have really cheap belts and very cheap gards for the belt too.

Hello,

I live in the US. Here, Hyosung is distributed and badged by "AlphaSports". The bikes are very rare here, we only get the GT250 right now.

A guy in Canada sent me this pic of the GT650T digital dash...

https://www.korider.com/v-web/portal/73/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=92

It might also end up on the GV650 Aquila shown above...

This post is a bit late now- but referring to the 650 hyosung motor in a derogatory manner is not well advised. It produces more power than the equivalent suzuki motor and the one litre will be very pokey too. Bike looks awesome, loads of torque hopefully.

Oh, I dunno, generation old clock design doesn't seem up to much, unless tachometers and speedo cables just die all the time. Confused

I'm sorry, I can't do that Michael, you are wearing too much hairspray and your jeans are too tight.

Maybe April can make some modifcations so I'm no longer an eighties throwback!

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
