Hey everyone though is put my three rare motorbikes on here for everyone to see

They are:

Bsa boxer (The sports bike)
Year: 1979
Cc: 50
Gears: 4
Top speed: 60mph (guessing by doing 40 in 3rd tickling the throttle)
Weight: bugger all I can pick it up easily (never used scales)

About: I brought this bike when I was 16 it had no seat, incorrect indicators and no tank
In 7 years of owning I only know to three other boxers (2 in Luxembourg and the other is mine) it's still not quite back to showroom condition but Hopefully this winter I can get it all sorted
It has a mono shock frame which is made by bsa and it took 12 broken frames to get it right and everything else is Italian
The engine is franco morini (not Yamaha thoes were fitted to the trackers) all lighting and switch gear is cev
Mudguards are stainless
It's the sports version so tuned to a whopping 4.5bhp Lol (pretty much a field mouse called gerrald)

Bsa beaver (The tourer)
Year: unknown as of yet
Cc: 50
Gears: 4
Top speed: 30mph I belive recently got it and it's the restricted model of the three made
Weight: same as the boxer

About:
Not much to say about this one recently brought it from somewhere in Scotland
All I can say is it looks a lot like the boxer as they shared everything (hence the bash plate and trials foot pegs) only difference is colour options smaller carb (to restrict it) and a bigger tooth rear sprocket
It's a little worse for ware was stored in a open shed for years got it running for a little bit, shockingly it wasn't seized, it needs lights switches a new side panel and chain guard

Bsa bever, brigand I don't know this one yet
Year: unknown possibly 1980's
Cc: 50
Gears: 4
Top speed: unknown
Weight: nothing it's in bits

About:
Brought this form Down near devon off ebay not much left of it and with parts impossible to get there's not enough to build it back into the bike it was so this one is destined to become a little race bike just for fun
Going to get a set of forks with disk break
Some rear sets
Maybe a big bore kit
Racing faring
Cafe racer seat
Custom homemade or professional made tank
Retro fit reed valve kit (a guy makes cases that bolt to original manifolds)

These bikes are 3 of 8 classic bikes I own

Thanks for reading
Bernie

Can that Boxer really do 60mph with 4.5bhp? It must weigh less than a fart in a crisp packet.

They look good though.

I did forget to mention that It was going down bank lol
But it does go supriseingly well for a 50 also the timing is out a bit so bogs a lot till the revs pick up
1st is a tall order but once it gets going the other three gears are easy enough
once I get this racer built I'll take it on a track day with the boxers sprocket carb and manifold on and see if I can get 60 out of it

They tend to overheat and throw off a bit of a smell in this weather though.

BUMP !
Ye olde thread
I was looking to see if I could find anything from the NVT/BSA range and came across the op thread.
I had a BSA Boxer when I was 16< 1982 my first road bike, great bikes would rass all over a big bore Suzuki AP 50 and yes they would pull a genuine 50/55mph...the gearing was such you could probably go faster Up hill than down !
Everything broke front and rear wheels fell apart (spokes) 6v electrics hated rain and trying to run a halogen ment winding up the tickover, shock seals blew.
But hey the old Bill never caught on that although it was 50cc it was not restricted to 30mph.....even though one Copper tried to do me for speeding up Park street (a hill in Bristol)..."excess of 40mph in a 30 zone"
I did look around for one of the 125's but the whole range was a rarity on the roads only ever saw one other at the time in Bristol and that was a BSA Beaver (restricted)....I ended up with a X7 as the 250's were going cheap owing to the new L plate laws

I'm still looking to buy a BSA/NVT
