Cassington bike night tonight. Think that's the best attended I've ever seen it.
This is just one half of the main parking field:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/DSCN0041_zpscu0eiwnx.jpg

Still love em, a beautiful condition example:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/DSCN0044_zpsleea68vg.jpg

I'm told this engine is 2 cylinders from a DC8 radial aero engine, and it sounded like an aircraft taxying when run up too:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/DSCN0047_zpsy8iajthj.jpg

Was hard to spot any joins on this 5 cyl. KH:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/DSCN0048_zps6rq6ynke.jpg

Like the way the spannies are stacked, too:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/DSCN0049_zpshhtdnx2z.jpg

And the best example of a Ducati 500 Pantah I've seen in donkey's years:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/DSCN0051_zps7lccfkep.jpg

Only a few miles up the road from me, a decent little evening out.

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/DSCN0056_zps5umlllzm.jpg

He couldn't quite stay with the Fazers, but gave it his all; I was impressed! Not much in the way of chicken strips left, even on that thing.

Met em at Crossgates, up to Newtown (where my mate took great delight in pointing out to the others where I stuffed my last one in the hedge Embarassed

Then fish and chips at Aberyswyth, down through Aberaeron, and a refreshment stop at Llandovery - we were all melting by this point Sun

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/DSCN0058_zpsl0ksut1v.jpg

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/DSCN0062_zpsgvoynron.jpg

Then up to Builth Wells, and back to mate's at Leominster to cool off for an hour, let the traffic thin, before the run back to Oxfordshire. 372 miles covered - yep, you guessed it, I'm Very Happy

Used to do the Derwent Reservoir and back which is about 45 miles, that was mainly a test route for me, but I always end up getting carried away with the back lanes, then I think well Hartside isn't that far away and it all gets out of hand Laughing As for riding to get an ice cream, nah, used to in my 125 days but the way I store my bike is a pain as I don't have a garage.

Went up to Megamotorcycles in Swindon to try find some Kevlar jeans and meet up with Ws4936. Nice country roads route via Shaftesbury area Thumbs Up.

Finally found a pair that actually fits me properly - Oxford K Jeans with inserts for £50 Smile. Seems like a pretty decent shop; especially if you're into the more expensive brands like Alpinestars etc.

Unexpectedly bumped into Chickenstrip doing a bit of shopping there too Laughing

Went to Megastore, Swindon, where Matt failed to introduce me to Ws4936 Razz

"Do you two know each other?"
"No"
"Oh, ok"

Laughing

I also bumped into someone I hadn't met before from the Fazer Owners Club there, but who had a hand in sorting both the old and new Fazers of mine. Seemed to be that kind of day.

Worse than that, I didn't even know that was someone from the forum until you just posted it here; we must have been sat opposite each other for a good 20 mins before you turned up Laughing

This all sounds like some strange blind date gone wrong scenario.

Wasn't one of you wearing a pink carnation in their lapel or something Laughing

Me and my son went to Silverstone today. We had a quick look at F1 cars. We live only 10 miles away from the track.

Over the hills and far away, and stopped by Hartside as per usual.

Torque Induction Smile No idea what that means but it sounds fast.

https://i.imgur.com/EGFWl7o.jpg

Very rare to see other supermotos at Hartside, no idea why, they were made for this area. This ones not a good example, bit raggy/bodged up and had the squarest rear tyre I've ever seen.

https://i.imgur.com/tnqwYo5.jpg

Helicopter decided to stop off for pie and chips I think. Not sure if it's legal to just land like that, doubt anyone cares.

https://i.imgur.com/TRyIXHl.png

Due to recent heavy rain this was a common sight on the back roads, gravel/sand/mud mid corner.

https://i.imgur.com/YuJjSeW.png

Think someone might have clipped this sheep, or maybe it fell over and was struggling, strange.

Very pretty. You might have been missing an offer there. Was she batting her eyelids at you as you went past? Smile

Some nice bikes there. Is that 5th picture a Triumph Hurricane? I like those, don't see many.

Apparently, Torque Induction is just what Yamaha called the reed valve set up, first introduced on their bikes in 1972.
