Hi there,

I am 18 years old. I am a student in England. I am national champion in motocross and I have a 1000cc sport bike in Moldova. I have only a A1 licence. I am wondering if there is a way for my to bring my sport brike here to England and to use it closed-track only. I am asking because I am not 20 years old to have a complete bike driving licence, so I am wondering if applying to ACU will give me the permission to ride for pleasure (non-competitive) here on my bike on race-tracks? Is there a possibility of doing so?

I think No Limits Trackdays and many others will allow you to ride track days (non-competitive) in the UK with an ACU licence. You will require an ACU novice licence if you have no A2 UK road licence, which involves doing a basic rider assessment. Evidence of your racing in Moldova may help your licence application too, but you would need to contact the ACU for more info.

It depends on the track.

Generally it's the track checking licences.

MSV tracks are bothered by restrictions apparently.

When I've been to Mallory and Anglesey they haven't look at my licence at all.

I k ow with fe your not allowed out on anything but a full unrestricted road license, I found that out the hard way, however I'm 95% sure if you rock up with an acu license there won't be an issue, I had to jump through these hoops North of the border so now hold and sacu license and am allowed on trackdays even though I'm not with my a2
