Hey guys i got my piston fitted and cylinder head

i got the new gasket on my side casing but having a issue with it not kicking over so ordered a workshop manual as there's arrows on the gears inside casing and not a clue where they line up with. so on hold until manual arrives. but piston is done just to fix this casing and il get tank off and rinse with petrol and get ignition back together and hopefully it will fire up

are they the bikes were you kick it a few times then pull the back brake in then it starts. Dont try starting it with the side casing of.

Hi guys so i managed to find a manual online instead of buying one. turned out it wasn't my casing though my barrel had a little lip on the top of it which was stopping piston going all way up and was jamming my clutch and reason it wasn't kicking. managed to get it freeing enough and got piston going all the way up and down so is now kicking over just to fill my battery with acid and charge it (something il be doing tomorrow or next day as need to do my ignition first and go get 2 stroke oil plus take tank off and rinse it out with fuel as its a little rusty inside. (got a in line filter to fit to it though for running all the time)

my tyres should be here this week sometime. was going to get my wheels dipped but just going to hang off on them until next year and get them done off my birthday money in feb.

also got my 2 stroke oil today while i was out (3 bottles to keep me going lol) not bad at £4 a bottle (1L)

going to take my tank off and rinse it with fuel today and see about getting my battery done so i can get it fired up

Hi guys been a little busy with bike today

when i got back from getting my 2 stroke oil i decided to take my tank off to clean.

i decided to get a old rag and go about cleaning the outside of tank and although its not yet finished it is coming up nicely

my petcock is blocked im hoping to get unblocked tonight if not il be buying another one

tank needs a couple more rinses and it will be done. still fitting a inline filter to it but fuel is quite clear the now but not yet done (decided to get dark so had to shut up for night)

but i managed to fire it up before i finished and is running sweet (not for any length of time just a quick start to make sure it was running so i can go about do other bits to it )

got my fuel tap unblocked

going to clean out the old 2 stroke as its got something inside the hose attached to tank


hopefully il have it all done by next week as mum and her partner is going on holiday then and il get a chance to do it plus il be around to keep a eye on my battery when i fill it and put it on charge

i had carb sitting in petrol to clean and refitted it to bike and put my petrol tank back on also along with the rear grab bar thing that is on it not sure its original or not though ? (black thing on pictures in first page)

also just to sort carb needle as going to run it a little richer for new piston until its had a few miles on it.

also got my tyres to do but don't think il be doing them until i do my cbt which im not sure if im doing before xmas or after as it depends on how long my provisional takes plus when my mum has funds but not a hard job to do

oh and i also have to check my brake shoes as i think they may need replacing as i tried adjusting them and i adjust them and they stick on but then when i let them off a little the lever is too loose and not doing anything to me which suggests there's little or no pad left?

il get pictures tomorrow as my phone was on charge when i was doing bike


waiting on a honda air filter coming too as my old one fell to pieces when i took filter box off.

took my drum off and i think my pads are needing replaced there not totally worn down but just going to replace them to save doing later on

going to order new pads for it so il be waiting on them coming before i do anything else to it apart from il put my new tyre on rim so its ready

my back brake isn't working at all so il need to investigate that too but il do front one first


my provisional should be here this week sometimes so hoping to do my cbt sometime soon once my bike is done getting my car licence as well so once my cbt runs out il get a car (although i may use money once i sell this in a couple of years to do my A1 licence as i prefer bikes to cars but getting car licence so i can get a quad on road if i wanted )

managed to find a nice condition heat shield for my exhaust also so got that on way too also from america but estimated between the 1st and 8th of october for arrival.

Got my air filter back together today. was going to put the needle on carb down one so its running rich but person who had bike before be must have done it as its 1 from the bottom (which i am leaving it at)

got my rear tyre fitted today. took wheel off to do brake pads but they were like new so only done tyre and left shoes alone so iv got a spare set as i already bought them to replace.

went to do my front tyre but my front inner tube is bust i did have a spare but the valve is dodgy on it so just ordered another inner tube for it so should be here in a couple of days.

rear brake is working perfectly.

front one still doesn't want to work will work if adjusted but sticks on and when adjusted off a little bit it isn't gripping anything any idea whats up with it ? i was thinking a stretched cable as i replaced shoes on front as they weren't much on them to mot it so can only be cable now

hi guys well i got my inner tube through but turns out i must have a sharp part on my wheel inside as new tube has done same thing as old one (punctured)

so will need to take a sand wheel over it to get it smooth also need to buy a puncture repair kit now

Hi guys managed to get my inner tube repaired got front tyre on also got engine oil in casing and fired it up and sounds great had to take tank off as fuel tap was leaking but fixed it with plumbing tape got dark so won't get tank back on unil tomorrow. Managed to find a exhaust heat shield it should be here this week as it's in uk. Also ordered a new brake cable for front as one that was on it was seized got another genuine honda part
Only thing iv to do once tank is back on is fit shield,brake cable and figure out why brake light is stuck on any suggestions ? All bulbs work which is a result going for a mot once it's done

Unfortunately I am not doing my cbt. I'm finishing this and selling and going to e buyin another project as I'm going to keep buying and selling until I have enough cash for a ltz or similar road quad as I has a think and to say having to do my cbt every 2 year at 150 a time I can just get my car licence and get a quad plus if I make enough il have enough to do my a1 licence as well (il have to fund it as my mum won't pay for it lol reason I'm getting car licence for quad as she will pay for m lessons and test )

Hi guys some bad news I finished putting parts on bike

I had bike running but was pouring fuel out overflow so I took it off to find previous owner had wrong fuel line hooked upto to tank (had air breather hose on tank ) so I fixed it and went to kick it to find my kickstart was locked up. Going to have take plug out tomorrow to check see of there's fuel in cylinder if not I must have a bad crankshaft or top end is seized up

Always happens to me when I near finish a bike something happens! Il let you know how I get on I had someone interested in buying it too
