IIRC, as one cylinder was behind the other, they suffered from overheating. I saw a Chopper made from one once, exactly the same colour as this one..... and it was gorgeous.

Good choice, I like the Le Mans, the two earlier models were better though.........and there was no need to change anything as they had the best suspension and brakes available at the time anyway, a bit like the top Italian bikes now. I think Guzzi were the first to have combined brakes, (the rear brake lever operated one front disc as well as the rear), and lovely huge cast iron discs. In the '70s, there wasn't anything Japanese that could handle like a Guzzi or a Ducati. Jap bikes, with there thin, understressed tubular frames and weedy swing arms, flexed and wallowed all over the place on long fast bends, you got used to it but if you were unlucky enough to hit a manhole or similar on one of these bends it could get very hairy. The Guzzis and Ducatis...with the right tyres.....could handle any bend as if on rails. I used to work on a cheese stall on MK market when I was about 16 and would get a lift at 4AM from B'ham off my mate on his MKI LM who'd ride flat out all the way. The pillion seat on the Guzzi is tiny and when my mate looked behind, I'd get the full blast and have to hold on for my life  I'll deffo get another Guzzi before shuffling my mortal coil.
IIRC, the "Dragonfly" was the Rolls Royce of British bikes and a very, "talked about" machine. Not sure I've ever seen one in the flesh TBH.
