My daughter turned 16 recently, figured I would get her a cheap run about so picked this up for £500, running fine just tatty.....

Long story short, she has decided she doesn't want a motorbike, and as I have already started stripping it, as you can see.......

I had a dilema, stick it all back together and get as much money back as I could, or go for a full nut and bolt resto. It is now stripped completely, in the shed, and waiting for me to get stuck into the first job of cleaning up the frame & swing arm for powder coating.

No mate, she hates peds. In her words "I would never want one of those stupid girly things"

Anyway, progress has been made.

Frame stripped and primed.

From the pics I cannot see that it was in need of a resto, but fair play to you, if you are going to sort it, sort it properly.

Nice find, Thumbs Up

More pics needed as you progress Wink

Why does it have to be for profit?

Its a hobby, I expect it to cost me money.

Looks like you'll be making a nice job of this Thumbs Up

No reason why you shouldn't make a profit either (although I fully understand you're not doing it for that), they are still a sought after bike and clean examples are rare.

Cheers mate, I hope so.

Yeah maybe, I am not adverse to making money, but its not the reason behind doing it.

Too many hobbies to little cash, I only ever had one hobby that I made decent money at, and in the end that took the fun out of it and I gave it up.

Oh I do like the gold look, it's gonna look cool I think this bike when done!

I really like the slightly weird cast 2peice frame and headstock as well. I've never seen anything like it on any other bike before, and I think it's a neat way to construct a frame and the cast sections are probably stronger than the extruded or pressed sheet construction of some twin spar frames.

Have you decided on a colour scheme yet for it? I do like the Alitalia RSV41000 colours, and think it would look smart with the gold cycle parts and maybe a little carbon can with Austin Racing decals!

I do have a colour scheme decided yes, but I am keeping it under my hat, just in case I change my mind Laughing
