Going to be bikeless for the first time though, , mainly because I CBA riding a 35year old, 125 trail bike, with a real world cruising speed of 50mph and a seat like an uncomfortable park bench the 200 miles there and 200 miles back again?

i've not been to a bcf bbq before i've always lived a bit far/had other shit planned.

This one may be possible...however will see if the mrs would be up for 3 1/2 hr pillion ride as normally 2 hrs is about the limit on my bike before both our asses loose all feeling. Would be better if she had her full licence by then but her test isn't until Sep

if it's ok, i have a work colleague with a cbr1100xx that fancies coming along, he's a good sort (apart from being welsh, but at least bubbs will talk to him lol) and should fit in alright.

if thats alright, ill be giving the a1(m), m25, m4 a miss and will do the cross country route from bedfordshire and meet carvel, doovy and co there
