Please, I need advice on lessons before the full test.

So I have just done my CBT. Was great.
Instructor told me I was very good so things are looking good.

I'm aiming to have a few lessons, do my full bike test (I’m 26) & thennnnnn get a bike. Probably a 250 - 400 to begin with, for learning & experience purposes.

How many lessons should I have before my Full test? (I already drive a car)

Thanks!

Er... as many as you need.

It's generally a far shorter process than getting a car license. People pass with only a couple of days of training.

Then again, my workmate took months to do it, failing both modules once each along the way.

It's not like you can pick a number that guarantees you a pass.

I've just done passed, this is what I've done:

CBT
Theory
Cross over 125cc to 500cc 2hr lesson
2hr 650cc lesson (MOD1 training)
MOD1 test
3x 3hr lessons on 750CC (MOD2 training)
MOD2 test

THEN buy a bike and learn to ride properly.

PS. don't waste your money and time on 250-400cc.

The usual is a 3 day DAS after a CBT. Get the theory done and talk to the local school.

Forget 250s and 400s. 500-600cc range has way more choice of machines. Don't worry about the power, they'll only go as fast as you want them and most aren't terrifyingly fast.

That. There are relatively few 250 - 400 bikes around and they'll be tricky to sell on, especially the 250s. There's half a dozen near me that are perpetual Gumtree wallflowers.
