Pokevision has gone down. Apparently Niantic has blocked all third party access to their servers to stop Pokemon finder services on the same day they've pulled the footsteps feature that was broken anyway. There's now to way to track down a Pokemon.
It's a game of pure luck now.

Edit: they've also decided to pull the low power mode too, so hatching a 10km egg will take about 3 full battery charges.

On Friday I finally caught enough Magikarps to evolve to a Gyarados.

That was a big achievement I felt.

My biggest achievement is sticking a pokemon on a gym last Thursday and it's still there.

Earlier today my free coin timer was about to refresh so I thought I'd go take a gym and double my winnings.
Took one halfway between my house and the nearest Asda, claimed coins, drove off. Got to Asda less than five minutes later and I'd already been booted off. Might as well have left a Magikarp!

I think the novelty will wear off fairly quickly.. It has for me if I'm honest.

As mentioned, gyms are basically pointless, as it's impossible to properly defend them. I'm level 19 now, and have been for about 2 weeks, it's so slow to level now, rarely see anything new...
