Commuted daily 20 miles through london on same bike for 5 months til it got nicked. This is my replacement commuter.

Oddly I find this more comfortable now than most upright positioned bikes. Must be the length of my arms or something but I seem to fit the gixxer really well.

I`ve had the R1 5VY for almost 10years now and when I first got it was a breeze .. now any thing under 60mph is fcukin torture .. I took it out on a run to seahoused lead by a guy on a CB500 twin.. up every bloody back alley , drive way and village center ffs..I`ll take my CB1000 next time he asks ...

I wish you hadn't posted this because I now want a GSXR really badly again.

I thought my last gixxer with a micron pipe was loud, but this one is on another level. Not ear ringing loud, but a nice deep rumble that turns into a smooth purr around 4000 and screams like hell above 8000!!!

Hopefully not. Got me a 2.7m 22mm Pragmasis chain which will be wrapped around a lamp post. That should deter most pikeys.

I don't like the way Pyramid save costs by having holes in their products and then fill it with mesh and the stepped section looks wrong. Obviously each to their own but I think sticking to the OEM shape works better. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/siIAAOSwHMJYClUt/s-l1600.jpg

What part of the bike is the chain going around though?

If just the rear wheel then can't that be removed easily enough and the rest of the bike is stolen/gone?

Yes in theory. I believe you can never entirely prevent your bike being stolen. If the scum want it badly enough they'll go to all extents to get it. All I can do is make the theft as difficult/slow as possible. Thus giving me a chance to grab the bat!

Trust me I don't want my bike stolen either! If there was more I could do I'd most likely have done it already.

Isn't it Power Bronze (yo?)?

Looks good. Predictable GSXR anodised tat, but chuck those trinkets in the skip and you're good. Thumbs Up

Sorry yes I meant Power Bronze. I don't know where I got Pyramid from, I even had some bloke from Power Bronze trying to sell me some mesh tat and awful looking sliders at the NEC The one thing I was interested in was the light cover but they didn't have any.

Anyway back to the OP, how's the bike?
