Awww aint it cute Laughing . My 02 reg Aprilia SR50 GP-1 Ditech. Had it a few weeks with a few problems already, but sorted now and does 55mph on the flat. And thats before de-restricting the variator or carb jet, but has had a different exhaust fitted.

I find that hard to beleive, im not saying your wrong but the restriction in the variator stops the belt going as far so you shouldnt really be able to go faster than about 40 ish.

Unless whoever put the exhaust on dun the variator as well.

that'll be de-restricted, mine slowly extended its speed to around 50 despite the fact it was sposed to be restricted, the speedo's over read a lot as well, mine sometimes saw 60mph downhill

nice bikes, but dont try and kid yourself, its not a competition Smile

My mate had a SR50 Ditech, they are fuel injected aren't they? My mate had his 3 months, never saw it again once the fuel injector and CDI unit went completely fuxx0red, fortunately he got all his money back from Aprilia. Smile

The Di Techs are only restricted by the CDI and the variator washer. No restrictor in the exhaust and they dont have carbs as there fuel injected. It sounds like its de-restricted already. The di-techs are cool as you de-restrict them by a cable and some software that runs on a Gameboy.

Also, You may as well take the "Aprillia" stickers off the belly pannel, They are already half gone.

That's what a mate says. He recons it'll do 65, but, allegedly, it hasn't been fully derestricted.

I really do recon that the clock is out, as are most ped speedos. Thing is, nobody want's to believe their speedo doesn't read right.

When my ped was still restricted, other people that I went out riding with (also on peds) were commenting on the fact my bike was doing "38 mph". My digi speedo is reading at 30. Kind of suggests something about their accuracy.

Anyone know how likely it'll be that my speedo is right? It read 30 whilst restricted... It's one of the ones that moves up and down when the ignition comes on, an anologe speedo fed by a digital system and motor... Factory standard.

Anyway, the bike looks quite cool by the way, liquid cooled I take it? Should be fast!

Clocks over-read...lots. My bike is restricted and yet downhill it reads 60MPH. Cool
