What's the cheapest way of racing the classic tt for someone 50

I don't think it's ever cheap, and if you are asking this question I get the impression that maybe you don't have the racing experience to even start this as a project. I'd say you need a lot of circuit racing experience and at least some road racing experience before going to the TT. Otherwise you're basically saying you want to climb the Matterhorn before you've even walked up Snowdon.

I'm no expert but...

Be a good rider.

Have a competative and reliable bike.

Ride that bike competatively in a qualifying ACU race series and finish the races to get your signatures. Start the season well. Enter as many races as you can, don't crash but stay in the upper half of the field. Joining a local motor club would be a good start.

When you have 6 signatures, you can apply for your mountain licence.

Then you are going to need either a super reliable bike or at least one, if not two spare motors because it's going to have to survive qualifying.

The ACTUAL cheapest way is to enter a race series and turn out to be such a good rider that someone rich sponsors you a ride.

Sorry been acu circuit racing in the uk on all of the tracks for a decade usually in the top half of the grid I just want to know what bike I can run as all my bikes are too modern
Possibly looking downsizing to a 400 because I prefer a four stroke

Apparently suzuki T500s will do a whole season and only need sparkplugs thanks to their direct-oiled cranks.

Black bombers are also reliable as hell.
