Saw the video where he bought it and knew he would be clueless but I at least expected he owned a socket set I expect he's going to fuck up a lot but it's the best way to learn really. |

That sums up why I don't like motorcycle Youtube.
What kind of stupid method to remove the engine was that? Do you see how it's precariously balanced on that shitty stand? Not that it matters. No planning, no conception. He's got the slow-pan camera angles. He got that scrap bike just to make Youtube content and be a Youtuber. He couldn't have started his escapades on a 125, because ego. And, as usual, everyone in the comments is not only congratulatory but an expert on motorcycles who's been doing it for decades, and has tips to share. You get the feeling that they "know" all about a bike just from looking at the width of the rear tyre, and all about a rider's skill by looking at the bend in their elbow... In the case of that video, you didn't need to know anything about bikes to understand that if you pop the bolts and spindles out, the engine will drop down. And, using common sense, would that stand be enough? Anyone with just a modicum of common sense would know. Did he even look up a manual for advice on the bolt removal order? No, because that's not a "cool guy" thing to do on social media... Not rooting for the prick. |
