Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another. |

Just an observation but note the terminology "Complies with all Euro Regulations" ; "ECE 22.05 standard" and "Meets all European Regulations - ECE-R22.05" - Nowhere does it actually say 'Approved to . . .' all of which kind of makes me suspicious it hasn't been tested and therefore ain't road legal. |

Many of the misfits that frequent this forum are your age. "Immediate departure" due to a lousy helmet is for the lucky ones. Consider other possibilities that could result from even a low speed crash: brain damage, disfiguration, paralysis. Nobody wants to wad up their bike, but unexpected shit happens in the blink of an eye. Surely your safety, mobility, good looks, and cognitive well-being are worth 50 quid. Even a push-bike lid is better than nothing. Here are some low-price possibilities for you to consider. https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=half+shell+motorbike+helmet&crid=RGBYZUEJVA57&sprefix=half+shell+motorbike+helmet%2Caps%2C227&ref=nb_sb_noss |
I will concede I have been too flippant in this thread, to the extent that I may be perceived as offensive, and for that I apologize. Rather more meaningfully than that wretched chap who expressed a preference for the shooting of Diane Abbott, for he is clearly an unmitigated turd of the first water and I'm not that far gone.
Having said that, the German-style coal-scuttle arrived and is a spectacular decoration. It also unblushingly displays ECE and DOT credentials in much the same way Gove and Johnson misled the British public with their bus advert, may they rot. I've banned the boy from wearing it to school. |
