My insurer brokers have sent me a renewal invitation.

I paid £130 last year.
They are asking for £220 this year.

It's probably those drink driving convictions, The 11 points and the fact that I don't have a full bike licence and am not UK citizen.

Or something.

Cheeky bastirts.

I can't even get on their stupid website to make sure I ticked the hidden DO NOT RESUSCITATE box.
Can't call them.
Stiff email sent. (Paper trail)

I found insurance for £135. So Thumbs Up my current brokers. (For 2024/25 anyway)

I thought there was a law gone through that companys had to offer tha same price to renewers as new customers? Or is that something I've dreamed up while in a rum induced coma.

That is correct. Looks like MCN changed brokers.

Also worth considering that whilst they have to offer the same price on renewals as for new business, it doesn't mean that is the best price you're going to get. On my last renewal, which was up ~20% on last year, calling up to ask for a discount did the job with Bennetts, got it back to where it was last year.

This is also the first year since the law changed that insurance in general has got significantly more expensive.

I got the renewal quote through on my Tesla Model 3 and it's almost double what I paid last year! Mad

I hadn't changed brokers.

But I have now. Still no response from motorcycle direct to my written notice to not buy a policy from them.
Cnuts.

They only provide a telephone contact number for claims or cover changes.
Cnuts.

Devit offer the same cover for the same machine for £135.

And another thing: why can't I get the comparison websites to show me multi-bike insurance quotes?
