Since when did motorbike Jazz Mag Journos gain any credibility among the BCF massive?

I'm sure middle-weight is a Magazine Office Construct.

Too many penguin/kit kats and instant coffee. (With artificial sweeteners.)

Also, f&fw doesn't look to have seen any action for a literal age. I'm in threads in the top few Laughing

Me?

Yes, I have been totally stalking myself.

It's getting bothersome to be honest, definite undertones of sexual harassment whilst I follow myself around...

I guess it does sort of count as a middleweight. You've got the lightweight stuff like the CRF300, then the 650-900cc stuff like this and then the stupidly big 1000cc+ stuff like the big GS.

I've rode a Tenere 700 and a KTM 890 briefly and I cant wrap my head around why you'd pick a 240kg bike over those

I think that they are middleweights compared to these lard as GS's and stuff. I always though a middle weight was 600.

It's the power output (or lack of) from some of these big cc bikes that gets me. 1200cc Triumph twin something like 90bhp.

Old school Fazer 600 same for half the cc's.

I was declared an asshole once for pointing out that some bloke's "big" British sidevalve 500cc had less power than my stupid little foreign 250 two stroke.

When I was a motorcycle courier a "big" courier bike was no more than a a CX500. Nobody wanted to have to feed a bigger bike just to get a parcel from here to there, and there were plenty of people on fecking CG125's and things that still trundled off to Wales and shit occasionally.

Mt car has 50 horsepower (allegedly) and I'm fine with that.

Heavy rider, pillion and touring gear perhaps but agree with the sentiment.

My 'middleweight' has a mere 186 Kg carry capacity. My 'little' boy has just surpassed 80 Kg himself so us and luggage is cutting it fine for our eurotour.

600 and 900 two up tent and 5hite felt a big lack-of-power to me.
My 1200 gs 2 up, tent, stoves, clothes, food, never ever felt the weight.
Pulling away, inclines, acceleration, stopping and slow manoeuvre were all very manageable.
We may not have been at the OEM max load but near it.
Middle weight 600-800. Is OK.

Did a trial 100 miler trial around Brecon with my boy and a laden top box. Power wasn't an issue at any time although the shifting in the centre of mass made the front feel light. Too light at one point - unintended wheelie in first. As for the weight - only had the preload on the 3rd notch up. I think the previous owner may've been a proper fattie and uprated the spring. No significant diving from the forks either under heavier braking.

I'd make sure I store them between the long weights and the short weights.
